My first grow, 2x400w, 2 stage, ADVICE/OPINIONS WANTED!

This is my VERY first grow, so i'm really new. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask questions, and offer advice, this is why I am posting this. I really want some feedback and constructive criticism.

Okay guys, so I am trying to set up a 2 stage plant system, right now everything is in the flowering room since I am doing my first set of seeds. Once they are ready to flower I am going to take clones, put them in my veg room, and then add my HPS and go to town.

The flowering room is 24"Wx96"Lx74" H, and the in progress cubboard is 15"x48"28".

My plan for this room is to install a tiny little exhaust in the top, one or two small fans in the bottom, and then have two large cfls shining from the top, and then a few smaller Wattage cfl's on the side as well. I have NO idea how I am going to set this up, the best way, or anything, so ANY advice would be appreciated. this fits two humidity domes very well, which I will remove after say 3 weeks.

Currently there is 1 MH 400 w bulb over 8 plants. I've got a fan in there right now that runs non stop when the lights are off, and then goes 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off, this is so i get a temp in the range of 74 to 82 in the canopy. I have a 392 CFM 6 inch inline exhaust that runs 18/6. I've got my plants pretty close to the light, but temperature doesn't seem to be a problem.

I've got 3 hydro tanks set up in series with a hose attaching them. There are 18 cups which will eventually be filled with clones after my first cycle goes through. For my first cycle I will just disperse my 8 plants over the 18 cups. I have an ebb and flow system that shoots the water down to sprouts that go to the outside of the rockwool on the peripheral of the cup, as to not dampen the rockwool. The pump currently doesn't run when the lights are off, and then runs 30 minutes on, 90 minutes off.

I am planning on mounting the fan on the roof in between the two lamps.

When it comes time to go into flowering, I am bringing in another 400w HPS, to add to me 400w MH light. I decided to try the blended light approach, and i will let you know how it goes :p. I am told you lose a bit of yield, but you get more crystal. I go for quality over quantity, so this is okay for me.

My seeds are greenhouse seeds, 8 total, 7 different strains: Lemon skunk, Super silver haze, big bang, white rhino x2, arjans haze #1, arjan's haze #3, and Hawaiin Snow. All are pictured below.

In the pictures, the first set was taken a few days after germination, then the second set was taken 2.5 weeks in, and the most recent set of pictures was taken today, at 3 weeks an 3 days since planting. I took an extra photo of my best one, the arjan's haze #1, beautiful, eh? :p.

I have been having significant humidity issues in my room. In the daytime I get a range of 20-45% , but closer to 30 unless i add bowls of water to the room. At nighttime, I had it go as high as 92%!!! So I put the fan on, got it down to 80%, then put on my food dehyrdator at night and kept the humidity down to 70. So i'm having double sided humidity issues: too high in the nighttime and too low in the daytime.

my temperature has been fine so far, but a bit on the low side with the fan and exhaust running. With that second light going, I am hoping this would no longer be an issue.

I know this is really disorganized, but LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK PLEASE!! :)

Oh, I also was wondering what the best way to grow the clones would be, based on the really limited room that i have in the veg room. I was thinking of just keeping them in like 2 inch rockwool cubes, but they might die after 2 months. any ideas??

Hey new guy here posted my stuff for the same reason. Where did you get your bulb and setup at for the hydro? looking for a mh lamp somewhere local i possible and what nutrents are you using per gallon. Im just using Mg soil mixed with 30% peralite give or take. Rock wool would be great for your clones just keep them watered. Also I reccomend rooting gel some use powder but i never got it to work correctly. Also you could try the metal like bubble wrap i picked up for 15 bucks at menards in the insulation section. was near the pink board used to insulate the house. Check out my grow blog for details. Noones really commented there though :( https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/335071-first-time-growing-ever-well.html

To answer one question you asked about how to go about cloning. You would definitely want to transplant them into 4 inch rockwool cubes, or into the largest medium you can before the roots get too long to fit in the one your transplanting into.
You might be interested in something like this cloner which is kinda like what I use:

And as far as how they look for being 7-8 weeks old, I think they're doing pretty well.

+rep looking good dude keep it green!

Hmmm, would that suffice to grow them for say 2 months or soÉÉ

Thanks for the feedback!
