My first grow. 2ft 8 tube t5's growing "grandaddy purple"

Ok, so I got a clone from a buddy about two weeks ago. He gave it to me right after her roots showed out of the jiffy cube and was placed into a small pot. I just got everything i need to start and have pictures. please any comments or advice is welcome.

in these pictures you will see
- 2 pictures of the clone 2 weeks after her roots popped from the jiffy cube and was placed into soil
- my intake fan (i cut a custom hole for it and will be making it less ghetto)
- how my electrical runs
- my grow space with some sweet shelves
- annnnd an outside view of my space and tent wich is 32x32 and i got it from gotham hydroponics for like 95 bucks

I will be using a 2ft 8 tube hydrofarm t5 light fixture with HO bulbs. supposed to put out about 2000 lumens per bulb and i only have 4 running now because i only have one plant (at the moment). This plant is a clone from a very healthy mother that has actually now just been put into flower by my buddy. the mother came from a bag seed from some grandaddy purple and definitely seems legit. she is super resillient and pretty easy to take care of, coming from the buddy i got the clone from.

- right now i am in some shitty organic miracle grow stuff im pretty sure is supposed to be mixed with outside dirt but will be transplanting into a 5 gallon bag with fox farm soil.
- I am on an 18-6 light schedule right now
- and have been watering every other day with superthrive.

i plan on updating this thread probably once a week or so, hopefully for some good advice or comments. and if not for my own personal enjoyment and record.

Move all electrical off the floor! cut down on water and slow down! light's are fine plant will thrive in the tent you need more plant's to offset the cost of operation and of course enjoy! I would vege the ladie (It has been sexed right?) to 14-16" and take 4-6 clones vege and start flowering after taking 4-6 clones from each.....If you only have the space for growing and nothing to keep clone's in I would suggest you build one...

There isnt actually any electrical on the floor, its attatched to the wall about 6-8 inches up. And why do you say cut down on water? I only water when it gets droopy. Is it because of the light green in the new growth? And yeah i planned on using this one as a mother. Thanks for the advice about when to cut though. That cuts out another question in the future. Oh yeah one last thing, i definitely did plan on getting a seperate tent for mom and clones when the time comes. Which hopefully in a month or so.

Thanks a lot for the input man. Ill definitely just build a little clone box like that. I cant wait to have a nice perpetual harvest going. I think i might do a sog in 6" pots taking up my whole tent once my mother can handle it.

FYI Home depot sell's 22" T5 2 lamp strip fixtures reasonablely priced I mounted 10 2 lamp fixtures under the work bench, wired them together and I get about 21,000 Lux at 18 inches more than adaquate for the vege/clone...Line with mylar if you can't paint white! Flat white is best...air inlet bottom exhaust top opposite corner! Oscillating fan and a plastic pan on the bottom if need be....Wishing you the best my brother! if you have any concerns about construction or placement noise etc.. message me I'd be glad to help if I can! jack

those arent high output though. just regular T5 which is 13 watts a bulb compared to 24w a bulb on t5ho

They don't have the wattage of the H.O. but not the cost either and they certainly do the job! I have tight plant's no distance at the internodes..so even 13 watt's at that close together certainly did my plant's fine! jack

Im really lazy with the updating but yesterday i topped my plant for the first time and currently have the top in a jiffy cube to be my first clone!
