My first grow, 28 days into flowering

Got some shitty seeds, germinated them one day and left them on the balcony for a bit. They got huge thought about trashing them but then I decided to finish it, so I got 2 200 watt MH lights. Did 24 hours of light then went into 12/12 after having them on the balcony for 2 months. Straight soil, nothing else so suggestions are welcome although I have very limited resources for nutrients and PH monitors.

Does it usually take this long to flower? I expected a lot more bud at 28 days on 12/12 while some have not yet shown any white pistils at all.

Anyway let me know what you all think:

At 4 weeks flowering, I think your plants should be looking meatier than they do. Are your plants in ABSOLUTE darkness when the lights are off? First thing I would do is check for light leaks. I've never seen a female plant that didn't have pistils after 4 weeks of flowering, so my guess would be that your room isn't completely dark during lights off.

I've got cardboard taped all along the window, there might be very little light escaping through that. The fan was also connected to the washroom plug which was not allowing me to close the door, there is an exhaust in there which lets some light out that im thinking might reflect off the mirror and through the crack in the door durring the night. I didnt think it would be an issue. Anyway I moved the fan so i can close the door and added more tape to block off any possible light escaping from the cardboard.

I got this fertilizer 10 - 10(5) - 10 i dunno what this means but is it correct for this stage in growth? If so I will begin using it.

In regards to the male you spotted, I've been watching it closely and those pods that are shown seem to be breaking open into leaves, but more like pistils but not white only green though.

Let me know your thoughts, hoping to take more pics within the next few days..waiting for some change to take place.

Thanks,
JAG
