Then how can you say my grows doing so good with blurples if your using cobs and hps too... get out of here it's cuz the cobs and hps it's doing good if you were just using shitty blurples you would see that the yeild would suffer significantly

Built it using a crate for a two door freezer like for a hotel or resturaunt from work. Lined with Mylar and som basic lights. Didn’t think I’d go this far with it but was just getting excited a bit. I can completely close it off even the top of it is I should choose to do so. Just a man on a broke mans budget learning and experimenting before I just safe up and splurge for nothing. 42yrs old and and not worried about perfection lol, it doesn’t exist, just gotta learn to be happy with what ya can work with and be glad ya can

Nice!! Yep, I’m working my first one and experimenting. Don’t even truly understand everything yet. What I do know is that I’ve got about 1500w of LED full spectrum on a Blueberry Kush that’s 51” lol and will probably flower it in about two weeks lol. Oh and it’s in purple cow soil. Lol that’s what I know lol just learning with my most fav strain

I'm a NOOB, let's get that straight right away.
I will start my first ever grow tomorrow, when my state goes legal. But I have been researching for 6-8 months, so I've spent a lot of time reading. There is a lot of great info out there, but there is some really shitty advice also. The search function is your friend here on RIU, if you have a question, it has probably already been asked and answered.
I would suggest trying:

When you have a specific question to ask, RIU is the spot, but you'll get better input if the old timers here know you have put in the effort to find the answer yourself first.

How many watts any light pulls from the wall is utterly meaningless, it's all about how much light it puts out and at what spectrum. When everyone was using the same types of light it had some value, but those days are long gone.
Good job, both on the plant and on ignoring the drama, lol.
In your position I would stick with the light you have, it has a good footprint for the plant and full spectrum works best ime.
I got a cheap blurple once just to see if my plants would like it. It did just fine. Moving to full spectrum LEDs worked better for me.

Ya but they are amazon lights but your right they aren't shit lights. Its all about watts and enviroment at the end of the day. If you have those two variables then your going to do well as long as your feeding proper!y. The three shit lights added up to about 800 w in a 5x5 and worked out well having the three cause I could distribute the light all over the canopy. The buds in my tent right now with 30-35 days left are bigger then my first grow at harvest time. Its awesome.

Nice! I have nothing like that as I am actually kinda experimenting and try to learn things along the way. I’ve never actually given it anything except water since when I bought my soil I asked for one that would already have everything I needed. Figured it was the wise choice instead of messing with chemicals in my first. I gotta know what to expect from the basics before learning how things work in combination with new grow methods. Easy to learn to be book smart. People don’t really know anything tho without the hands on training. I have plenty of time and enjoy learning it along the way so it becomes natural to me and not just confusing myself with all the chemicals and timing. I am just to experiment with basics at this point while still trying to make a good smoke. Even took different size clippings to set in water like gramma used to do with the ivy plant. Seems to be working lol. Figured I’d try it with a some. Tried with 4. 2 smaller and 2 bigger. That’s one of them. Top and root starting I believe.

I really don’t understand all the names of stuff and things like that. What I’d like to think I know from what I’ve heard is that I can grow me a descent plant with a 1000w LED light. I started out with living room lamps and LED full spectrum lights from a Walmart lol. Been in about 430w equivalent and got it to 51” this way, and just got this Morsen 1000w LED Full Spectrum. So far the only 2 things I’ve really heard people say that could have been done better was giving it more light, and that I should have flowered it already considering my grow space, but I wasn’t ready to flower it personally. I wanted to play more lol and make it grow some more lol a lot more lol. It’s my experiment lol, the more things I can try and learn on the first I own I believe will make my second and so on way much better instead of screwing up say a field at a time lol. I do this plant in my living room in about 53x53x7. I lined up the inside of a two door restaurant freezer crate that I got from work and lined itwith white mylar and went at it lol built braces and everything. I went kind of unexpected starting it. I had always wanted a blueberry kush and when I seen it I snagged it but then I had to come up wi try something besides just letting it become a porch plant lol. I do have some pride lol, but was just really excited to get it started and have fun

If I'm trying out a new technique and I'm worried I might screw it up I use males. That way I don't lose out on any bud if it all goes sideways.
But for a first grow you're doing pretty well, certainly better than I did.

I find the experimenting the best part of it. I stress train the shat out of my plants in vegg. I top em I fim em. Love it. And what results in the end is awesome.
So that 1000w is actually 350w from the wall so like 780w from the wall all together that's should be enough light next you will want to maybe add like a 200w hps and you will get some really good bud development

In the description I read when I bought it. It said it consumed about 185w from the wall designed to save power. I figured I could eventually have 3-4 and maximize grow space and hopefully I’ll have learned enough to make a batch come out right. It just became medical here in Oklahoma, so I can actually have up to 12 with only 6 at a time matured. Here in Oklahoma they refer to that as flowered tho I’ve read in some states matured is considered once it reaches a certain height. I’m assuming because it obviously can be flowered

Thanks man, lol the last time I tried to grow some was in my closet when I was 16 till gramma got it lol threw it out lol. I treat it like family lol was going to be bad to see it go, but I stuck a clipping in a wine glass with just tap water through a piece of cardboard to help hold it up and it seems to be growing roots
, so I’m hoping that at this point I can make the next one even better since I’ll be more prepared the next go around.Attachments
Oh yeah then I was looking at the wrong one yeah only look at what it draws from the wall a lot of them say like 2000w and only 200w it's because they have 200 10w diods but they don't draw that much. So you actually have 610w you usually want 50w per square foot but yeah I noticed with leds the nodes grow closer together but the downfall with leds is they lose quite a bit of their par value if the plants arnt right under the lights so mixing leds with a couple hps and your goldenCool, Thanks dude
Oh and you said you will eventually will have 4 of the leds that's good get a 200w hps put it in the middle then with the leds put them on each side at a 45 degree angle gives the sides a lot more lightCool, Thanks dude
