Umm, i was wondering what are the square tubes? pvc of some sort?.. i need to know for my system (doing a variation on this one)
They are 4x4" PVC fence posts. You can get them at Builders Square or Home Depot for about $20.

When doing aeroponics, isn't it best to use a fine mist sprayer? It seems like the sprayers your using do not produce a fine enough mist to really promote good root development.

I would recommend Arizona Mist

That looks perfect dude!

So simple but just wait till you see the results!

Make sure you run a pump filter bag. It's only ten bucks and will keep your sprayers clean.

Read my journal and try my nute formula and settings. Be sure to use a cycle timer one minute on and five minutes off.

I've been trying Sweet the last few weeks with good results. You might want to add that to the formula.

Your Stoked!!!

the chances of getting those to work are virtually none.
those would glog within days and the second they do your grow is history.
i am likely gonna add ultrasonic misters to each tube

I would love a an ultrasonic Mister/Fogger, but man they are expensive $$$$$.

does anyone have anymore pictures??
or comments about how the sprayers are working out??
Is it better to place sprayer in bottom of tube vs. in from the top??
just great to see homemade setups!!

the simple answer is from the top did not cut it so i laid them on the bottom and they now spray the crap out of the netpots.

it is like 10 times easier to do it that way as well.

keep it simple!

yes 3 inch pots just under 9 inches center to center 6 per 4 feet
using 4 3/4 post.

i plan in starting with 2 strains and growing up moms in pots then taking 8 clones each
the best 6 will go in the aero after a month veggin.
the remaining 2 will be grown up to moms and once mom gets ready to be replaced ill flower her :-)

i am going to use a 1000 watt hps with cooling and carbon filters.
and i am likely gonna have an AC feeding in the air

i hope 30 gallons is enough water for a rez tho
anyone think this is enough?
i will be using RO water i get for $1.20 for 5 gallons

thanks buzz, i was only curious because i have seen many aero systems with 3" nets and fairly close to eachother and have always wondered if there was enough room for full growth, or if it was a system primarily for lowriders and smaller plants etc... i actually use a 3" net pot aero system for my veg growth then i transger them into an ebb and flow with 6" nets for bloom...

I run 2" net pots at 7.5" spacing.

30 gals is more than enough. I run 18 gal per 14 plants.

What's your water's normal PPM coming out of the faucet? Mine is 200 PPM and it works fine.

hey stinkbud, how do you grow in such a small space (7.5")? I grow 15 plants in a 3x5' with 6" net pots and it still gets cramped.

thanks

You can see from the photo that it works great. The plants are 12-18 inches tall when they go into flower. They end up being about 3 feet at harvest.

I don't top the plants so I end up with one big cola.

I'm actually trying an experiment with toping the plants in veg right now. The plants are actually getting too tall since I added CO2. I can raise my lights a little more but I'd rather keep the plant height under control instead.

Sea of Green baby!
