My first aerogarden grow please help!

HI new to this site and i had a bought a aero garden with an extra lamp, i want t know when and how to find out if its a male? i bought fox farm tiger bloom ,big bloom and grow big is there any thing else i need besides a fan haven't even sprouted yet! also what are the light cycles and for how long? Also been trying to figure out where to get great seeds safly

If you are using an Aerogarden read Teknique's "The Aerogarden! " start to finish. You will save yourself a lot of time the guy's information is excellent.
Go to search & type in Aerogarden if you can't find it.

Hey I am using the aerogarden too. Did you say they haven't sprouted yet?

week 2 of flowering 44 days from seed and the ladies are lovely. i had to remove quite a few plants due the formation of balls!!! I am now down to 3 lovely ladies, there are so many internodes on two of them. the cloning will start soon. They all have lovely white puffs. just got fox farms open sesame, and have been using the trio at 1/2 strength.

open sesame promotes budding on demand, many bud spots and large growth!!!

Just blew my first grow. I went out of town for a week. I filled up my aerogarden to the brim but when I returned the water was almost gone. I lost three nice plants. I'm pretty sure they were killed by nut burn. I was using Flora Nova nuts. As the water evaporated it drastically increased the nut concentration. I had on HK sprout survive so I'm switching back to aerogarden nuts. I'm hoping the same thing won't happen (I'm leaving for three days this week) since the aero nuts are slow disolving tablets. Wish me luck!

How much flora nova nuts did you use? maybe you used too much. I never killed any plants with flova nova. Only AG nuts. So be careful. Use half dose of those AG nuts. Good Luck.

Yo, thanks for the advice. I was using 1/8 tsp of nova grow and some of that bushmaster verticle growth inhibitor. The reason I think I may have burned them is due to the fact that most of the water evaporated. I'm pretty sure my babies were drinking straight nuts because of the water loss. When I opened the tank there was about 1/2 inch of murky thick liquid that smelled like nuts. So I'm guessing that the water evaporation increased the concentration of nuts. Just a guess though...

Are you sure it was just 1/8 tsp and nothing else. 1/2 inch of murky thick liquid sound like you got something else in there also. Did you use anything else?

Yeah man, youre right. I think I used both the Flora Nova Grow and Flora Nova Bloom at the same time. When I say there was murky liquid I'm not talking about much liquid as most of the water was evaporated. I just got back from my business trip and my babies look great! I'm starting to get this thing figured out. I hope....

How big is the Rez on this system? I have a Waterfarm, that the Rez is only 2.5 gallons for the one plant. I need to add water to it about ever two days. So what I did was I drilled a hole in the side of the Rez tank, hooked up a fitting at the bottom of the rez so I could hook a 1/2" tubeing to it, with a valve, and then another section of hose which I connected to another fitting at the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket. I close the valve, empty the Rez. I then fill the 5 gallon bucket with my nuts and water. When I open the valve half of the water from the 5 gallon bucket flows into the Rez. As the plants use the nut water, or it evaporates, more of the water in the 5 gallon bucket flows into the Rez. Walla.. I just doubled my Rez size, plus I can do a Rez change outs with out picking the plant and all it roots out of where it sits.

I did this so that I could leave my plant for a few days with out the PPM shooting to high. But it ended up being good for more then just this.

are there any stores available anywhere which ship seeds to australia? i have tried many and have not received seeds, it is very frustrating.
