Yup same shit I got . I treated for it last night and already seeing improvements . A #2 sounds good , for me a #3 was awkward to trans into a #5 and a #1 seems too small , so I,m thinking #2's for veg also .

I definitely need to figure out a different system of pots. I am gonna try some #2 and #5 smart pot transplants, but I think I might go back to #1 or #2 smart pots and then my 3ga 12" diameter diy air pails.

#1 smart pots are 8" diameter and #3 are 10" which leaves 1" all the way around when transplanting. I dumped in pro mix around it and sorta packed it in with my fingers. Bad idea.

This AKS went into a #5 smart pot today, after I broke off most of the packed clumps that the roots couldnt get through, and I did not pack anything down with my fingers, just a bit of light tamping with the bottom of my 2 cup plastic dirt scooper. I let the BioRoot/SnowStorm RO water do the packing.

Wonder Woman Got MIR today with 2ga of RO. She will be ready for her last feeding in 2 or 3 days, then one more MIR probably before I drown her. Even with the mag def and nute burn she looks pretty sexy for <7 weeks.

WoW: 47 Days 12/12; Just before lights out

Back to the tent just in time for lights out. I decided to shuffle them around and put the newbies under the HPS for the night and maybe tomorrow, to make it easier to shove the WoW back in before bed.

Hmmmmm. Is that what your root system looked like when you harvested? I just upcanned to some 3 gallon and 7 gallon smart pots going to veg for 2 more weeks and let them work things out. What is it exactly that you don't like about the ones you're using?

I was going up from #3 to #5 today but realized I fucked up when going from 1# to #3 by packing it in the edge of the #3 around the #1 shape. The roots couldnt get out of the #1 shape and through the packed dirt around the edge of the #3. It was mostly my fault for bad technique when transplanting but I never had that issue when going from #2 smart pots (9" diameter) to my 3ga (12" diameter) air-pails.

In the future I am going to try and germ/veg in #2's and transplant to #5 before flower, I think.

I hate transplanting in general . If space wasn't a concern I'd start them in a 5" coir pot then straight to a 7 gallon . I'm never going 3 then 5 I know what you mean about trying to center the plant then have to squeeze in the new soil around the edges . But with space constraints I cant veg a bunch in 5's . I need to expand my grow space soon . Then I can flower in 7's , my Purple Flo was shooting roots out the bottom holes in week 2 .

Are you thinking you just overpacked them? Because I just transplanted and packed the edges pretty well too, I don't want to encounter the same problem. Thanks!

Yes, I think I over-packed them. The AKS seems much happier today. I also move my plants around a lot and the smart pots dont seem to handle it as well as the pails do.

Cool thanks for the input, I'm going to get aggressive with them tonight to loosen it up a bit. I actually like the way the smart pots move around. I'm using some tubtrugs too and I really like those! I drilled drain holes in them and some some holes around the top for training.

How do they work for watering when you want runoff? Seem they should work fine but I've yet to find out. I like plenty of runoff when I water during flower.

They work fine for flushing but I think I am going to go back to my pails. I just transplanted the NLxSK to a pail and wish I would have done the same for the AKS yesterday.

I also pruned the white widow today and think I went a bit overboard with the lollipoping.

I checked the trichs on a sugar leaf today and they are 99% cloudy, 1% clear, and no Amber. 49 days 12/12 tomorrow. :hump:

I think she is going to be drowned in a day or 2, a week or so earlier than planned. I am all out of schwag and dont want to buy any more, so I am tempted to cut her down asap without a drowning.

go for it...will just take longer to cure...but doesn't seem like it will make it to cure anyways:twisted:
That is exactly why I want to drown it, because it won't have time to cure before I start smoking it. None of my previous harvests made it past 2 weeks in the jars.

I named this thread appropriately when I added the 'eventual' part of the title.

:hump:Haha i love it, end up doing the same thing but looks like in the future mine i might be able to actually cure some.

Early Biddy seed germ'd but seems to have gottoen stuck at the botton of the plug. I gave her a squeeze yesterday to move the seed around a little so she will hopefully pop up soon.

NLxSK Transplant from packed soil. She was effectively root-bound.

2 Layers of pet-tough mesh.

Back in the box with the AKS that was transplanted the day before.

White Widow got a massive hair-cut. A few times I felt myself wondering if I had trimmed too much, so I likely trimmed just about enough.

Back in the tent. The SBR will be due for a pruning/trimming in the next week or so.

Not sure which of these I should grab for my 435cfm fan. I have heard that pulling air slower through a bigger filter is better, but I am worried about hanging another 30# off this tent ceiling grid.

6x20 150x500 23 lbs 10.5kilos 450cfm
6x24 150x600 27 lbs 12.25 kilos 500cfm

Rasputin...everything looks nice.

With two lights up there, you could bring your light maybe a little further away for maximum growth.

However, i would have to know your current light wattage and your current distance from plants to light.

You see, with two lights there is a lot of "overlap", which creates a significant amount of lumens. With inverse squared, you can effectively mitigate a more effective yield. However, you may be fine....I always just ask for the specifics whenever I see a dual light setup....i love dual lights...though it costs the electrical bill, the light penetration is phenomenal.

Yes, I have considered raising them, and will need to soon regardless. They are about 12" above the tallest tops right now. 600 super hps horti in back and 400 mh eye horti in the front. The LSD hasnt stopped stretching and the White Widow is going to be a monster.

I just made some canna mac n cheese and couldnt even eat half the bowl because of the taste. I may have ruined myself for ever eating mac n cheese again. I got a pretty good buzz, but wish I could have ate the whole bowl.

Beautiful grow! Very nice set up! Me and hubby are pretty new to growing and we grow in dwc and I am planning on starting a few in soil next month after we move to a bigger place but I was wondering, where do you buy those nice looking pots? The ones that look sort of like cloth/felt? My first and last soil grow a couple years back I used a few plastic pots but those cloth ones look like something I'd like to try out. Again nice journal and great looking plants! Keep up the great work! =)
