My Bushy Baby: Harvest or Wait?

I have a plant that i was initially going to use as a mother plant, but had to move and no longer have the space to have mother plants or my own clone room. we will refer to her as Bushy Baby, or BB for short.

so my solution seemed like an obvious one. FLOWER IT!

where i live you can pretty much get two outdoor harvests per year, and while i was building my small shed to grow some indoor , i let BB grow outside for about 6 weeks, and then moved her into my shed upon completion of the build.

anyway, BB went outside and began its flower cycle on MARCH 14, so she's been flowering for roughly 9weeks and 3 days.

i use the BLOOM nutrient line (every product available) and additionally add Indonesian bat guano and Humbolt nutrient's "Myco-Madness" Mychorizae , grow in Soil-less CoCo fiber with pearlite ( tupur's orange bag -or- Roots organics soil-less). i run about a 6.0 PH (or Yellow on the spectrum scale), i begin with roughly 400ppm at about 3-4 weeks of veg (tap water in my area is @ 190 "EWWW") and increase the ppm about 100 every week to every other week topping out at about 1750ppm in the 7-8th week of the flower cycle, i introduce fresh air through a wall mounted air conditioner good for 4-5 times the area of my grow space, do not use Co2, have one wall mounted 20 inch oscillating fan , and a 1/2 hp hydrofarm squirrel cage fan as an exhaust (bought it used and dont know the CFM) .

BB's bean was planted on 10/25/2010, has been in 1inch seed starter tray, in a dixie cup, in a 1 gallon pot, a 2 gallon pot, a 5 gallon bucket (liquid gallons) and now is in a 18 gallon "Keg Ice Chest" -or- "Bobbing For Apples bucket" (also liquid gallons) see pics...

its getting close to harvest time, just wanted to get other opinions on the matter.
what do you think? is it ready to be harvested or wait until the full 10 week mark?

my camera hella sux, bare with the 3.3 mp images LOL.....

yeah im familiar with the 70% method.\

this is only my fourth harvest and this is by far the largest plant ive grown.

usually flower in 1 or 2 gallon pots and they stay around 30 inches tall, and the plant matures pretty evenly.
this one however is not. the robust larger colas on the top are much more mature than the ones at he bottom.

a friend suggested harvesting the more mature looking parts of the plant and wait for the rest of the plant to mature, but i dont feel too confident about that.

i will probably just let it go to 10 weeks. /shrug

She looks like she could benefit from a little more flower time. Let her buds tighten up a bit more.

got my hands on a better camera, and after counting the days instead of assuming :) lol... this monday will be 11 weeks flowering.

anyway, here are some WAY better pics.

Looks awesome, hopefully you got a clone or two from her! Any idea of her genetics? If you can take a closer look, maybe with a magnifying glass and see if the trichomes are clear, cloudy or amber. If there cloudy then she is ready. If clear give her a week or so. Nice job... Do you normally flush after all those nutes?

Thanks!
i think its a Hog X Royal Orange, cross bred by a close friend

the bloom line has a product called "final" and the schedule tells you to use that by itself on the last week.
but i do what the schedule says, and then water with plain water for about a week after.

even though i think flavor and smell are more about the cure than a flush personally.

looks pretty damn good man, gonna be a bitch to trim that one haha. well worth it though that looks like some good buds.

thanks!!

if i can find out how to get a video up.

i could show you all an example of my Home-Made trimming machine that helped me save a Ton of time at harvest time.

i need to make a minor adjustment to get the blade closer to the plant, but never the less. its a time and money saver over the "Trim Pro" machine.

i guess its as easy as that, heh... here is a video of my prototype home made trimmer.
as i stated i need to do some tweeking to the blade placement to get a closer trim. but it still saves time!
enjoy

the trimmings from this plant yielded about 3/4 of an oz (20.6 grams dry) of some Very potent soft and play dough like Bubble Hash

and here are some pictures of some trimmed up buds, i wouldn't say its tip top shelf club quality, only because its lacking density a bit. but its definitely a 4 of 5 stars product!

sticky, great potent smell, great trich count. and delivered an intense head high after only 5 days of drying.

i cant wait to taste some after its really dry, and cured a while

enjoy :)

all plant matter and product is gone and was joyfully consumed :)

the plant yielded a little over 6 OZ.

everyone who had the pleasure of medicating with this plants gift was VERY happy!

thank you guys for positive comments!!!

you need to get some magnification and wait till there are 25% amber trics in the buds themselves before you cut.
Thats one leafy bitch, gona be a trimimg nightmare!
