My budget setup

I've always wanted to start a grow and had tried many times without success, mostly due to the fact that I either was living at home or had nosy roomates. now I got my own apartment and no girlfriend so now is my time.

i only have a small 1 bedroom apartment and the landlord comes by occasionally to access the utility room (yes, it's in my apt.) but that ain't gonna stop me! here's what I did:

this is my apartment. the door on the left is the utility room, the middle is my bedroom and the right is the bathroom. I'm in the livingroom/kitchen/entrance area.

here's step 1: get a new lock on the bedroom door. the landlord asked why I did this, I simply stated that I have some valuable things I store in there and it's nothing personal but had some bad experiences in the past with landlords and roommates snooping and stealing. she bought it and even looked inside my room to see nothing inside that was abnormal, just my snowboard, mountain bike and computer and bed.

step 2 start building the room. I'm cheap and can't afford all the lights, carbon filters, etc, etc. so I improvised.

here's my closet:

it's crude, but effective. the closet is 1.5x3x4', the floor and ceiling is drywall whereas the door is masonite with white backing. it leaks a bit of light but once the closet door is closed, it's all good. firstly smell was my first concern so I built my own ghetto fabbed carbon/charcoal filter.

I made a small enclosure inside the room with a duct and fan to refuse the air inside.

here's the fan:

here's the enclosure with a charcoal filter I bought from home depot used for the overhead thingees over your stove

wow man . no landlord should ever be that cautious, all they should care about is when they are getting their next rent check . DO NOT let her snoop around at all. fuck a ''utility check up''. if she thinks thats gonna be her excuse to look around in the future than i suggest you move. trust me im pretty good at reading people and knowing what they are after.

yeah, when I first agreed to take the place I knew the utility room would be a problem. the landord is doing reno's on the top floor and is blowing breakers on occasion so I granted her access willingly and without hesitation when I'm not there and she calls me everytime she needs to get in there. I act like I don't have anything to hide and she won't have nothing on me!

more pics

the top of the grow room where the refuge fan is. all the seams in the room have been siliconed with an automotive seam sealer (just cuz I already had it -freebee!)

for lighting I'm using 6 3foot flourescents. 4 cool whites, and 2 plant/aquarium tubes running on 18/6

the fans are all from princess auto. the fans were 2 bucks apiece and the adapters are all cell phone chargers soldered in.I go 1 for ventilation and 3 for circulation. when all sealed up the moisture sits between 40-50% and the temps are 20-30deg lights off/on.

I started 10 seeds and plan to veg them in this small room till I sex them. after I get all the males out I will start cutting them to start a nice army of clones. by that time it should be nice enough outside to transplant. then the real adventure begins!

sounds like your set. just dont let that landlord act like she can come by whenever she wants. that will ruin your whole op. water every 2-3 days. no misting until flowering. keep that door closed and dont be a newb and always open the door to look at them. they seem to grow faster when you check em every 3 days.

what stops her from being curious. trust me man that could be your downfall. that lock on your door could save you though. just make sure its locked when your not there. but. try n be there EVERYTIME shes over. especially in the next 2-3 months when they start stinkin real bad.

thanks, today is day27 and they are all in good health. just started giving them nutrients on valentines day and they loved me for it! :weed:

I'm growing dutch treat and golden skunk and have been feeding them daily. the bottom leaves have gotten yellow and some with brown spots possibly from overwatering but the rest was thriving. should I slow down my watering? these are my two best:

sorry, I deleted them awhile back. just trying to stay safe and keep anything incriminating off my comp. maybe I'm just paranoid, but I always listen to my insticts. I've been growing guerilla for almost 10 years and never been caught. thanks to my paranoia! that and I never thought this thread would get resurrected!

the room is no more, it served it's purpose and got transformed back into a closet. got 6 girls out of 10 and of those 6, 3 are being cut for clones and the other 3 are adapting to the outdoors as we speak. they are 2 feet tall now, I wonder how big they'll be by fall?
