My bedroom is too hot

Bedroom getting uncomfortably warm due to grow op... really getting sick of it

Got 2 DS120 tents.. one with a t5 and the other with an air cooled xxxl

I have insulated ducting running out the tops of the tents into a Y piece which then goes to the other side of the room and sits near the windows which are left half cracked with the blinds drawn...

My plan is to box up my upper window and run the exhaust on to that with a ducting wall plate so that all the heat escapes through the upper small window and allows me to open my larger bottom window for fresh air in

Trying to do all of this and still make it all unrecognisable from the outside is quite a task

i thought of venting into the attic, but it is a communal building and sometimes workmen have access to it, plus it would just make the roof glow on FLIR

im just getting a bit sick of the temps and finding it uncomfortable to sleep in etc.

i tried one of those portables and they really suck... loads of hot air out the back and would only really lower the growroom temps if placed right inside the tent and not in the berdroom - not to mention making a lot of noise.

I need to get round to boxing up this window, i had the safety gloves and eye googles and mask on the other night for delaing with all that nasty insualted ducting... still itching.

I had the ducting taped together with duck tape but i got advised to change it out for proper clamps so i was doing that most of the night as its not the easiest to work with (im sure im not the only one on here who has experiences the joys of working with insulated ducting lol) - it also leaks a little bit at the Y piece which i am not too happy about, my extractor fans are 5" for vegging and 6" for flowering

the portable you used was no doubt a single hose type. they are worthless. you need a duel hose unit .

i cracked a window quite a lot today and just ran the exhaust discreetly under it... when i came home my temperatures were much better so im going to go with that for the time being until i can box up my top window and run a wall plate to it

Why not just cut a hole in your roof and duct it into the attic???

Its simple enough to do .

You just need some brackets similar to the ones in the pics below.

However you will not find those exact ones as i make them myself in work.

I did this too....inside a small cupboard, works a treat and just takes the temp down enough
