So this is my first grow journal on here. i am not a first time grower, but there are a few things I am trying for the first time. So this is what im working with :

12 bagseed
12 Seeds I personally picked up in Jamaica.
(down to 7 bagseed , and all 12 jamaicans are going strong)

Planted on Feb 20th after 3 days of germination

Started with 275w of cfl, and today I purchased a 250w MH/HPS air vented fixture.so now im using the MH 250w and 75w CFL's.

Strong fan blowing on it directly , keeping room at a contant 80 degrees.

so the thing im trying for the first time are:

First time MH/HPS user
and trying all organic this time. organic soil and only seaweed nutes.

so the few question i have to start of with are :

is the light to close or not far enough? (did the whole hand test but still not sure. its about 1ft away right now.

Should I bother with the 75w of cfl's?

Here's a few pics:
I consider the one with three leaves just good luck i hope.

Just need some help here . Ive been having a temp issue with the 24/0 light cycle and i wanna go to 18/6 . is this gonna be a problem?

they are about 2 weeks old now , but having a issue with the first set of leaves dying and alittle yellowing of the leaves. so thinking the might be a heat problem along with underwatering? maybe?

plus sadly, the bagseed is doing way better than my jamaican seeds. but only have the 7 bagseeds left, and 11 of the jamaicans.

any help would be appreciated.

I'd wonder about your nutes. You said seaweed, does it give any NPK levels ? I'd go with
some proper nutes. I use 20-20-20 for veg. & it's worked for me for 5+ years. By the way most nutes are safe & considered organic. I use plant prod.

if u boil eggs let water cool and water plants with that water and eggshells i use in my potting soil....also if u dilute your urine 1/2 cup of piss to a gallon of water is tons of free nitrogen particles give seedlings a kick in the ass ..good luck
