So this is my first go at autos, I don't know if I should just let it play out or add somethin, but I don't want to replant this early just is not an option. The 6500 cfl was like 1 inch from it, when I seen the brown spots I moved it today to about 3 inches away, it's enviroment is good. Is it too early to worry, I mean it is still growing, I just moved the lights back an hour ago so we will see if that helps.

Also, should I stop the 24/24 light cycle and actually let it rest at night or should I just roll with it?

Here is the pics, what ya think?

looks like ph is off and the spots could be from you spraying the seedling and keeping it under the light. even a small cfl can burn a young tender seedling. Don't water so much either.

You know what you got me, I spritz the hell out of it like 5 times a day. What can I do this early to make the ph better? I have tried soaking of egg shell in water then pouring it on the babies in the past and it has worked, but like I said I don't know how the genetics work with this auto stuff. Any suggestions on ph and lighting will be great.

So keep it 24/24 and stop spraying it?

well first off make sure the ph of your water is right before you water your plant. I like to keep the ph between 6.5-6.9 in soil. Now that it has a few leaves starting you dont have to keep the soil moist all the time. You don't have to use a spray bottle, in fact I never spray my plants down with water...ever. Once every 3 days I do take them out of their area into a dimmer area and mist the crap out them with carbonated water(poor mans method of cO2 enrichment). Let the soil dry out until it is "air" light. The roots will be searching for water, causing them to grow..causing the plant to grow. Water until you get runoff coming out of the bottom. This washes exess salts out of your soil. If you water "just" enough with no runoff it will cause toxic salt buildups and unstable ph. Once you get it on a good cycle you will know just when to water. For lighting I would go to your local hardware store, menards, walmart etc and get yourself a few light kits(they are cheap) buy a couple multi socket adapters(this allows you to put more than one cfl on a socket and a few 55W 2700K cfl bulbs. I dont know how many you want to use, it is up to you but as it gets bigger you will want more. Also get a few 6500K cfls. Im not sure of what wattage they are available in but get the big ones if you can afford it. Hang them all around the plant and make sure they are 1-3 inches away, move them as the plant grows. You can keep it vegging 24 hours a day no problem but I do believe auto's grow better under a 20 on and 4 off cycle. They don't need a night cycle but it helps to cool things down a bit and give them a rest.

Thanks! Yeah I have it 3 inches away I got 2 plants going, the 7 day old one is doing fine ( I haven't spritzd it, won't now ) I have 2 26 watt 6500k one on each plant, and 1 20 watt 6500k in the middle of the 2 plant so I already have the lighting setup. I also already have the 2700k for when/if they actually do show sex. Lighting is good, I got plain organic soil and did the 60/40 perlite. Thats what had me spritzn, the organic stuff on the top just dried up about 1 cm deep and I was trying to keep the top layer moist but now when thinking about it, the soil was still moist where it counted. I just watered the plants 2 days ago and the pot is heavy so I will do as suggested, lay off the misting and watering until it feels like it did before I put water in the pot. I will use better water too, I have well water which Im sure is not the best.

I will post pics later to show how it all pans out. Here is my 7 dayer..
