With Rosin, you can go from larf to dabbable product in < 5 minutes.. fwiw. Bubblebag, while nice, is labor intensive, and is quite an all day project of setting up and cleaning up. Not to bag on bubble hash, it's lovely, but in this day of technology and communication, I think the verdict has all but come in that live rosin is where it's at. Even folks turning their bubble hash into live rosin.

I have a benchtop sears 3.5" vice, that I adhered heating plates from a hair straightener to. In about 2-3 minutes I can squish a small amount of flowers to have oil to dab on all day. Good luck whatever you do!

Can you show me some pics on how to do this?

On a flavor scale, I'm still voting rosin the whole batch of larf. Maybe someone in your area has a large press and you can squish it in a few gos at it. Nothing tastes as good as live rosin imo. I'm a new convert and have made iso/bho for years.
And with this larf, I basically just cut the branches off and tossed em. I haven't pulled large fans or anything off. What kind of prep would I need to do? I can buy a 12 ton press ( like @Greengenes707 uses) from harbor freight for like $120.

Pics, here's the larf, the HAUL, the beautiful currant kush, and the start of something great. I've had great success with germ rates from Midweek song. I've had 7/9 so far pop. I'm pissed the double alien 18 ($20) sprouted a taproot but that was it. It just stopped. Green Crack isn't opening. Tried sanding ir, but no luck. So I pipped a freebie northern lights x chronic and will also probably pop the girl scout cookies or cherry bomb.

I also wanted to show that I RE DID the mini RDWC with a 1/2" return lines rather than 3/4" & 5/16" feeds instead of 1/2". Works a lot better and is much more fitting.20160704_091304.jpg 20160704_091312.jpg

Clean setup! Those buckets are slick! Do you see high temps with the black? Running a chiller? You might be best to ask gene if he has pressed "fresh" larf material. I've only been pressing cured flowers and really shouldn't speak on it, so I'm sorry to mislead you there.

Looks fire bro! That currant kush..

If you use a washing machine making bubble is not much work at all. You need a mesh bag to throw in the machine. Then cut the bottom off of some buckets and place your bubble bags in between the cut down buckets. Throw the mesh zipper bag in the washer with ice and water turn it on and go do some thing else.

I throw my fans in with larf, trim and small buds.

I just wanted to post this pic of the final buds FINALLY in jars. Have not weighed it and probably won't. I've gotten rid of at least a full jar and a half already on top of this too.20160710_131744.jpg 20160710_131716.jpg
Trimming this shit by hand, once wet, then again to final trim was an absolute NIGHTMARE. At LEAST 15 hours.

Also, a word of advice.
I left my root balls and water in my setup while the buds dried in the tent. I just cleaned it all out.
HOLY SHIT. It smelled like absolute rotten death. So glad I have an entirely new setup going in there for this next run.
Soooo disgusting.

This is why we trim wet.you can just take down however much you feel like trimming on a given day and get it all processed and drying in the rack and let the rest continue to grow a day or so longer and go at it again when you feel up to it.
That said me and the wife can wet trim 16 to 18 oz in about 4 hours together. If trimming was fun or easy weed would be much cheaper lol.
Lookslike you had a good harvest from that run, nice work.

Granted, it was a nightmare, but my shit smells as good as and exactly as it does dry, as when it was on the plant. I've wet trimmed always prior. Never again. Wet trimming has always left me with hay. Leaving some leaf on it to trim afterwards kept the smell on point so well

That's generally my experience also. Wet trimming takes much longer to start smelling like dank again. Dry whole plant and the bitch will smell killer

Ya I'm so glad I tried it. I was tempted to just finish it all up but man, when you start fine trimming and breaking off those leaves, I can't remember who it was on here that said it, but it truly is "just like peeling off a candy wrapper only opening up poof ball smells of dank". You can just smell it coming to life while you get it lookin beautiful once it's dry.

I can imagine. I left some bubble waste that had ice in it to let the ice melt. I forgot and three days later it was the worst smelling mess ever. The worms loved it but god it was horrible to strain the water out.

Just means your shit is drying too fast when you wet trim.drying whole plant slows down the whole process.oh well, just thought i would toss my experience out there .didnt figure you would listen to anybodys advice lol.we process a couple # a week and my shits so fuckin weak i got caregivers smoking my crappy wet trimmed nugs and slingin their shit to the dispos lmao.peace
