Looking real good fella. My you are dedicated. Had a lot of fun reading all this. Good job.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm still learning more and more each day. I think in about a week or so at most and its harvest time for my Fast & Vast strains. They are getting bigger and thicker each day I look at them! I find growing extremely easy with how much work I've put in and the returns will be so much more then I could imagine from the look of things.Looking real good fella. My you are dedicated. I felt like autos are a cheaper alternative in the beginning without much effort. I didn't want to deal with having to flip the lights to make them flower as this my first time growing entirely. Not including the fact I would need a veg tent to clone if I wanted to. Which that would be one of the main reasons to go photoperiod in my opinion.. Cloning, topping, fimming, super cropping, and any other things you throw at a photo in veg and they can bounce back from. Autos = LST and leaf tucking only! Some strains can be topped but its not recommended at all as they may not recover.(will help with height)Whats up ZSpy, everything is looking good. I was wondering if you might answer a question for me, simply because I have not ever grown Autos before. Have you grown a photoperiod strain indoors? do you see any benefits to growing the Autos? I only ask because I started mine from clones, almost identical set up to yours and am very happy with the photoperiod plants, I started a few days before you did with clones and I am in day 38 of flower, I am taking them to 65 days to get the max stone out of my buds, they are all for personal. I am just wondering why you chose Autos, if you did clones, you would not be as far along, but your return would only take a bit longer with a traditional strain, with all you have invested in your set up time wise I guess I am just wondering if you were experimenting with the Autos or if this is your preferred method of growing. I wanted to try autos but for some reason I am hesitant because I want the highest THC content possible and I am ignorant to Autos
nice, makes sense to me. you will definitely finish faster with Autos. in my opinion the yield lost on the Cloned plants would be very high if you flipped them too early, I like to veg my plants for at least 30 days. with your situation with the Autos, you will definitely finish faster than me, considering I flower for 60 days minimum. so you will be finishing your drying and curing when I am just chopping mine down. 17% thc is high enough in my book, hell, I don't even know how stoney my buds will be, and I certainly don't get them tested. you are right about the veg tent as well, no way I could have a continuous crop going unless I got a veg tent, I have a cloner, but that will only get the plants so big, then comes the issues of where to put them while you are waiting for the flowering plants to finish. my wife was pissed when I had 10 OG kush clones sittin gon my kitchen sink under the LED lights mounted under my cabinets because I had nowhere to put them. I think you just inspired me to start a new VEG tent! thanks for taking the time to answer my question, HAPPY GROWING!!!!I felt like autos are a cheaper alternative in the beginning without much effort. I belive from what I read was that autos finish flat out faster then any photo out there. But I've also had someone comment that you could flip the lights for a photo to start flowering sooner as well.
I wasn't too worried on the THC levels as the strains I choose are at least 17% or higher. Not top shelf but I chose strains that would couch lock me from what I've read online and get me super baked...sounded fine in my book!
Nice, I also think your plants are looking extremely healthy, I am still working out the kinks with my GSC strain, its so sensitive to nutrients, even more so than my kushes, which previously I thought were very sensitive, apparently not as sensitive as the Girls Scout Cookies. My OG strains are like hogs with the nutrients, the GSC, not so much. Nothing like smelling some fresh dank nug on the plant. the only reason I have not done Autos is the only place I know to get seeds is online, and that kinda freaks me out, I know I wont get caught, but I guess ordering online has always got me scared. shit, a perpetual grow like that would be very nice. I suppose I could do that in a 5 x 5.Friend came over thats on his 2nd grow with clones and is in amazement on how well mine are doing. Saying that they are super healthy, looking great and can't belive how fast they grew. Hes only viewed the grow at like 2 week increments. I let him smell the buds on each and made him trip on the smells they are producing...hes liking the Skunk the most for its fruity tropical smell.
I still like Anesthesias smell the most with a purp grape smell to her.
I'm thinking of letting the Fast & Vast go another week at least till I see her fill out more.
Going out to take high resolution photos as I type this. Stay tuned!!
I've read it over and over but always forget it and want to baby my autos but they are able to withstand a more harsh environment as well. They are also more mold resistant. Which in my case, growing in a garage, makes autos a go to choice for me in the winter here in California lol..still 44* degrees @ 84% humidity here in the East Bay...COLD AF!! ...got the heater set to 70 in my home LOLNice, I also think your plants are looking extremely healthy, I am still working out the kinks with my GSC strain, its so sensitive to nutrients, even more so than my kushes, which previously I thought were very sensitive, apparently not as sensitive as the Girls Scout Cookies. I do check on them constantly and make sure they are taken care of. If I could I would run an entire field of them and live on the farm with chickens and cows lolYeah, real cool job dude. Best autos I have seen in a long time. Braver than I, tackling the Auto's. Yours seem to be in love with you. I feel from the look of them, that that feeling is shared. "Move over shep". Mans REAL best friend is home.
Peace
Yeah that's one thing I really want...some reverse osmosis going on! Maybe next grow. I feel like they are doing alright and drinking just fine. Every time I fill up a solo with the molasses I think of a nice cold beer ...lolI agree with you about the nutes. Worm humous and a little bit of nutes is really all you need. (Soil) Good roots and a good hood with decent air supply and you can grow some beasts. Very Oxygen rich water is also great for growth.
Man you should see them now... all the little curly bulbs coming out all over up and down the Fast & VastsLooking good starting to fill out
