More info for me to absorb in regards to the ideal life cycle of Autos. Which works out as I started using blooming nutes at week 5 which is what I was shooting for as I didn't want them too tall...but seems then are beasts at almost max height anyhow for the Ana and the Skunks.

The life cycle of auto flowering cannabis.

Another common question I see is when to switch autos from veg to bloom. Many people are under the impression that as soon as they see the first flowers it's time to switch. Perhaps a little explanation of the life cycle of autos will help to clarify this.

Weeks 1 - 3. Once you've started your seeds and they break the surface of the soil, they are in their seedling stage. The first set of leaves to appear will usually single fingered, followed by a second set that may still be single fingered or perhaps 3 fingered. Once that second set appears growth will start to accelerate as the new leaves provide more photosynthesis. This process will continue, more new leaves, faster growth. Depending on the type of soil in use, mild vegetative nutes can be introduced at week 2. By week 3 most plants will start to show their sex. Males will start to produce pollen sacks and females will display pistols.-

Weeks 4 - 6. The plants are now entering a pre flowering stage. During this time the plants should exhibit explosive growth, often as much as a new set of nodes and 1" vertical growth a day. This is the time when they will gain most of their vertical height. Many people make the mistake of switching from vegetative to flowering nutrients at this point, assuming that since they see flowers it must be the proper time. This is incorrect. If the switch to flowering nutes is made at this time the vertical growth will stop and the plant will put it's energy into producing buds. If you need to keep your plants small, or want them to finish earlier, they by all means switch nutes at this point. But if you want to get the most out of your plants continue feeding vegetative nutes until you see the vertical growth slow and stop. Depending on the strain that will usually be sometime during week 5 or 6.-

Weeks 7 - 9. By now vertical growth has stopped and the switch to flowering nutrients has been made. The buds will start to fill out and put on weight, becoming hard and tight. Pistols will start to change from white to brown, orange, red, etc. By now the plants will also have developed a strong smell. Toward the end of this phase the large primary and smaller secondary fan leaves will begin to turn yellow. This is an indication that the plant is moving toward the end of it's life.

Weeks 10 - 11. At this time flowering nutes should be discontinued and only plain pHed water fed to flush the remaining nutrients from the soil and improve the taste. Yellowing of the fan leaves will continue as the plant draws the stored energy from them. Eventually they will die and fall off. By the time that the smaller leaves that come from out of the buds will also start to turn yellow. Then it's time to harvest.-

Day 48 from seed  1/22/15 2:00 am Light schedule adjustment & GOODIES!

Upped my schedule to 20/4 now. I've been reading some stuff online and I think I'll get the best of both worlds with some dark time for my trichomes to develop more.

Stopped by my local nursery and got some goodies!

Day 49 from seed  1/23/15 4:00 am Bamboo, movement, another fan and vent issue

Everything is growing like a weed! :P I'm going to begin LSTing on the bamboo. Added my mini desk fan to the bottom of the tent to help with lower tent air movement below the larger hanging white fan.

Before:

After:

Moved Skunks & Fast & Vast in different order to help give other bud sites more light.

Ana :weed::

Tied her lower branches to help pull her out some to get them more light. Also put loops around every other tiers fan leaf to help get light down to the lower parts.

Open vent

Had to close the other vent after testing for 48 hours how to would affect temps and RH...wasn't helping. Didn't help with RH and made my temps drop with bringing cold air in from the left side of the tent.

Sealed the vent, lowered my exhaust fan and made sure my heater was in a good spot. Guess we will see later today if it helped.

Been meaning to comment on the smell of Fast & Vast and Anesthesia.. F&V smells like danky skunky type with a hint of poop LOL

While on the other end ..Ana is smelling fruity almost like a grape with no stank at all as of yet.

Looking healthy
Yeah the only one that seems to be having issues is my Skunk #3 whos on the far top left of my tent now. Seems some burn from over nuting her water back to back to back.. Her leaves are either new looking to me or some type of deficiency...cant tell.

But to be honest the 3 Skunks in the back seem like they are going to take a bit longer then everything else. So I'll leave them in the tent after I harvest Fast & Vast #'s 1, 2, 3 and Anesthesia

Hmmm been reading up of flushing. Seem like the ideal amount is 3 gallons of water that's been pHed to 6.0-6.5 per gallon in your pot. So I'll need 15 gallons per plant I have.

Might get 9 - 5 gallon buckets with lids and let it blow off for 24 hours then store it in the garage. To have it ready for flushing.

Also might be dropping them off the milk crates and onto some planters feet or the boot trays I bought and flip them over. My light is at the highest it can be in the tent and I'm really wanting an even canopy and to lower the Skunks so they don't go over my Fast & Vasts.

Not tripping too much on this yet as its not all over the plant or anything. With slight end of tip curling on fans. Slight yellowing but can be from new veg growth? Should I flush it? Might switch more to the blooming nutes at 1/4 str with some molasses next feeding.

Problem:
Looked more into my plants ....didn't realize I would be able to do this well. Seems my Strain Hunter Skunks can get up to 120 cm in height or basically 4 feet! Currently they are getting pretty close to my light and I have ran out of headroom for my light.

Answer:

I'll be looking into a pallet for the bottom of the tent to fit my 4x4 area and remove the milk crates they are on.

Wonder if I should place the entire tent on the pallet or just add it inside and place the place on it. Placing it inside makes me worry about mold but also give the smart pots air under the pots like they have been getting with the milk crates.

I'd just paint the pallet with any paint u have laying around preferred white to reflect any light and that will also stop it from moldinh

Great idea! I'll be looking into getting a nice looking pallet today and a bucket of paint after work.

Gave 1 tsp. of molasses in 1 gal. of water to all the Skunks. Lowered all the skunks and Anesthesia onto boot trays to even out canopy.

Will have to water Anesthesia and the 3 Fast & Vast tomorrow with molasses as well. Next watering will be with blooming nutes.
