My 2024 Grow: 4 Inside/7 Outside

Another year and another grow has finally started. Past few years I always say I’m gonna start early and get them big before transplanting outside. Well a few things kept me from starting early. Recently we needed some electrical done, along with a few other little things needing to be done. Was hoping to get some new seeds with my cousin that we were gonna go in on, but fell through(shipping issues to Canada) Potential grow with RQS but never got back to me on another site. Thankfully Original Sensible Seeds came through and just last week Weedseedexpress offered, I accepted and they arrived yesterday.

So today I started by cleaning my tent, and getting everyone into a Solo cup with Happy Frog soil and a small handful of Perlite. Probably keep everyone inside for the following 3 weeks before I transfer the seven outside into 20G garbage cans, while inside we’ll stick to 7G fabric bags. Happy Frog and perlite will be used inside and will use mostly the same outside along with some HP All-Purpose mix. Couple of cans from last year were replaced as my dogs decided to chew up the rims and can no longer use for training purposes. Not much to show yet, but here is what I’m hoping to grow this year (*sponsored seed grow)

OUTSIDE:

*FAT BASTARD - WeedSeedExpress
*PENNYWISE - WeedSeedExpress
*SLEEPY JOE - WeedSeedExpress
*TROP CHERRY - Original Sensible Seeds
*SLAPZ - Original Sensible Seeds
CLOUD WALKER - Green House Seed Co
G13 x BLUEBERRY HEADBAND - Emerald Triangle Seeds

INSIDE:

*DEATH STAR - WeedSeedExpress
COCO MELON - Canuk Seeds
DOUBLE CHOCOLATE - Canuk Seeds
ALASKAN THUNDER FUCK - Canuk Seeds

Quick update, and so far 8 out of 11 have popped. I’m still waiting on Pennywise, G13xBH and Coco Melon to pop. First 2 days I had them in the tent, they were a little cool and now my tent lights are on low but creating some heat/humidity. Did that late Monday and they started popping shortly afterwards.

Ok so I was 9 for 11 in my seeds sprouting, but I had to start a new seed for both my Alaskan Thunder Fuck and for my G13 x Blueberry Headband. Also had my work schedule switched around and so I was able to get the rest of my Happy Frog and Ocean Forest soil for filling my outdoor buckets

For some reason my pics aren’t working for posting.

Sorry it’s been a bit since an update. It’s a copy paste job I did on another sight but is missing a few vital details. Pennywise and G13 x Blueberry Headband would not sprout for me. Thankfully I have a MK Ultra x BubbleGum in my collection of seeds (T.H. Seeds) that is also a high THC/CBD strain. Plus I’ve moved onto a White Gold seed from Expert Seeds for my other replacement.

Transplant day. . . well, for some of them at least. So far I was able to get 4 of my plants (Trop Cherry, Fat Bastard, Sleepy Joe, and SLAPZ) outside into their final pots. Cloudwalker is coming along but think I’ll give her another week in the tent to help establish their roots a bit better. Same for my White Gold and MK Ultra x BubbleGum, which have both sprouted and shall stay in the tent again for a week or 2. My tent gals I will probably plant in their final pots tomorrow or next day. Just didn’t wanna mix my outdoor hands today with my tent soil/gals.

Oh and I did contact WeedSeedExpress about my Pennywise failures and got a response back saying that it appears to be a bad batch. They sprout but that’s as far they sadly got and seems to be the case with other potential growers.

Still have issues posting pics from my iPhone that were airdropped to my iPad.

Eviction day for the remaining 3 outdoor planned gals. Good roots when I went to transplant today. I think the Happy Frog might be a bit warm for my indoor gals in this early state of the game. Some leaves seem to have some burning in the bottom section of my plants, but healthy newer growth. Minus my Coco Melon which is showing a bit more issues in the colouration, but hopefully that changes with more time. Outdoor gals are starting to grow, with Slapz really taking the lead. I might be able to finally top a couple of them by the end of next weekend. So enjoy the pics

Boy did them 3 gals ever love their move to the great outdoors. They are flourishing and loving the soil thankfully. They look healthy and are either growing tall or growing wide like MKUxBG is. Slapz will get topped on Saturday I think, as we have some potential big storms coming tomorrow. I don’t know if my Alaskan Thunder Fuck will live as her growth is stunted and leaves are burning. Temps are 77f and humidity sits around 56%, so maybe a little more rh% would help. Death Star was top the day after my last posting. Her growth is strong, leaves look green and healthy, but taco. As they grow, the lower leaves tends to open up more normally. Something to look out for I guess, and think Double Chocolate will get topped in a few days. I hope to be more active soon with my grow updates going forward. Finally got hot, hazy and humid days coming in and I think my plants will potentially start exploding with growth soon afterwards.

Ok so we didn’t get dick all for storms/rain. Might have been a good thing because warning for t-storms/tornados were all over the place. Still having struggles with new growth with my Trop Cherry, Cloud Walker and Fat Bastard. Everyone else seems fine with White Gold and MK Ultra x BubbleGum being the real standouts. Slapz was big enough that I finally was able to top her, with a more topping coming this week. Heat dome is moving in on Monday and not leaving for some time, but might be the heat my girls need to thrive. Tent wise I think ATF is sort of trying to recover somewhat. Still stunted on growth but new growth is happening and looking healthy. In a day or 2 I will hopefully top my Double Chocolate plant. I’m just so far behind this year on my grow and really wonder how big I’ll actually be able to get everyone outside. Last year I had a few that just double and almost tripled in growth when flowering switch hit, but I want some good training done first.

Wow this heat dome is pretty damn hot, but the outdoor plants seem to be loving it like crazy. My MK Ultra x BubbleGum, Slapz and White Gold being the big standouts. They’re just happy looking plants and I just wish everyone else was as happy as them. Sleepy Joe isn’t as bad, but everyone else is still thin looking in stems and structure. so because of the heat dome, my family is grateful enough to give everyone a good water every other day, because they need it and they respond usually nicely the following day. Tent wise, I don’t know why they’re burning the way they are. Only been using tap water with the nutrients present in the soil. Starting to see my side limbs growing nicely on Double Chocolate and Death Star, with DC needing support to stand upright. Also removed a bunch of the crumpled limbs on my ATF, but new growth is looking promising.

Gonna do a 2 post update and I’ll start on the outside girls first. I kinda decapitated my White Gold plant down to the down nodes, while tossing the ball for my dog. THANKFULLY it held on by a thin stran and so out came the hockey tape (great stuff) and my green wire. Not helping were some very strong wind gusts, and thankfully it was small enough to fit under a bucket over night. Still a little weak looking but she still going, now 2 days later. Cloud Walker and Trop Cherry are finally starting to show some promising growth but Fat Bastard is still lagging a bit. The true stars of my outdoor garden are my Sleepy Joe, MK Ultra x Bubblegum and Slapz being the true standout. Slapz already has some strong branching that has me using some easy training clips my neighbour gifted me last year on her. Plus I topped her bottom branches and now await its upward growth projectory. MKUxBG also got some clips installed as well, but Sleepy Joe is short on her branching right now. Gonna be up and down the,map wise it seems this week, but looks like we are gonna stay sunny until Saturday. So hopefully my gals continue to grow nicely and training can start/continue. Here’s also hoping the ones lagging behind, somehow get on the steroids and GROW.

As for inside, looking a little healthier. I think as these plants have matured, they are adapting better to the nutrients in the Happy Grog. Still looking a little too evergreen colour on Double Chocolate and Coco Melon, but training has started. CM is still strangely looking but I think I might remove a branch or 2 of really weak looking growth and hope it recovers. Topped a the bottom 4 branched of DC and again, using the clips. Since I removed the burnt crusty, unhealthy growth on my Alaskan Thunder Fuck. She has made a pretty damn miraculous recovery. I think by the end of the weekend, I can top her. Death Star is still showing a little burnt on the edges but continues to grow nicely for me.

So good news is that my decapitated White Gold has serviced her ordeal but now suffers from a severe case of scoliosis. As of today I have topped everyone outside but for Cloud Walker, which needs maybe just another couple days. Have had a few cooler days but warm weather returns tomorrow but with storms. So hopefully nothing severe but they do love a good rain and warm humid day afterwards. No change in training but I think I can go ahead use a few more clips on MKxBG limbs and I think I can start on a few limbs on Sleepy Joe tomorrow. Plus that Fat Bastard looks like it’s finally getting off it’s rooted ass and growing for me. So I’m starting to feel optimistic for outside and getting an ok return when we get to that switch to flowering.

Same goes for inside, with everyone being topped as of yesterday. Also all my limbs on my Death Star and Double Chocolate have been topped with some extra training with some limbs over others. Alaskan Thunder Fuck is short in nature but she looks so much healthier then a few weeks ago. So she is sort of the reason I’m thinking 2 more weeks of veg before I switch to flowering. Also added a little UV, red light and increase in brightness for my tent Infinity Board. Also gave everyone a good watering today of a full gallon of water each, roughly. So watch them respond nicely over the next day or 2, but they’re drinking lots lately.

I feel like I should be calling this the Kardashian grow, with all the plastic I have on them. Inside is looking so much healthier then 2 weeks ago and I think removing the lower growth helped a lot. Plus I really do think the soil is now at a stable ph with them now being more mature. Increase in my lighting has raised the heat to about 82f now. Although I’m now watering them more often, thus keeping my humidity in that mid 70% range now. Everyone is very green and the purple in my limbs seems to be dissipating as well. Gonna give them another good drink tomorrow and I have yet to give them any nutrients of any kind yet. I’m also thinking of switching to flowering after the end of this week, but maybe I want an early bday gift for myself

Outside I have started training on Sleepy Joe, with more plastic clips used on Slapz and MKUxBG. Cloud Walker still isn’t there yet for topping but heat/humidity returns in 2 days and seems to stay for some time. Noticing some chewed leaves here and there, probably from little grasshoppers I’ve seen about on my walks. That’s why extra guard duty has been added

Well I decided, and my timer has been set to 12/12 for the tent tonight. Yes folks, flowering process shall now start in the tent. The turn around in health for my plants has greatly improved. Although right now my Double Chocolate and Death Star are drinking like crazy. I gave them both a gallon of water yesterday and they were already dry today. Other 2 gals were still ok for water but I gave another half gallon to both the other 2 again. So I might wait a week (or do it shortly after this update) and add a top layer of the Ocean Forrest soil for everyone to get some needed flowering nutrients. I still haven’t added anything to my grow yet and all are doing well. I guess I’ll start/keep my next grow a different soil at the start before I move to a final pot with hopefully Happy Frog as my medium again. Minus the rough start, everyone now look green, healthy and beautiful.

Outside I’m still confused by my White Gold plant I decapitated and looks dead in my pictures. Last night we had a bit of ran, let the dogs out afterwards and my plant was ALIVE and looked good (not dead) but this morning we’re back to looking like wet spaghetti. My Trop Cherry and Fat Bastard are finally growing and showing branching. (FB was showing nothing until 2 days ago) Although my big surprise over the past few days since my last update is Cloud Walker. The stem just went super thick from the bean post it was looking like just a week ago. Again, warm weather is here to stay it seems and they grow baby.

So I pretty much did what I said I would do. Shortly after posting, I went downstairs and added the top layer Ocean Forrest soil to the tops, and everyone got water yesterday. My girls are looking HAPPY! Double Chocolate and Death Star are really stretching. Coco Melon has spots stretching, but might need to prune/clean up now then later to get them to really stretch. Pretty much pruned ATF after today’s picture was taken. Humidity is high, but will kick my exhaust higher in a week or so. Also probably add a little fan below the grow for added air circulation.

Outside is looking much better as well. With my last Fat Bastard finally growing, but branching some monster fan leaves here and there. Cloud Walker is enjoying her move to the sunnier side of the yard, along with White Gold’s shadier move (she looks alive) Starting to sort of mainline the tops of my Slapz, Sleepy Joe and MK Ultra x Bubblegum. As I have brought out good ol’ reliable green foam wire. Already noticing the sun getting lower and not rising as early as she use too. So only a few more weeks before it triggers them to flower on me.
