My buddy started a bunch of Jack Herer auto seeds and had too many so I took a few off his hand.

IMO he started these about 3 weeks too soon, and this year has been shitty weather with lots of rain and little sunshine

IMG_2728.JPG

I transplanted the top 4 into 2 litre hempy pop bottles with perlite.....will use GH MaxiBloom
IMG_2757.JPG

I started one in a hempy solo cup (perlite with a soil cap)
IMG_2774.JPG

Had several in the pot of soil, been plucking out the weakest
IMG_2790.JPG

these are the final 6 contenders
IMG_2832.JPG

The soil cup gal is not as healthy as the rest, it may get terminated
IMG_2841.JPG

One of the 2L gals (front-middle) is not a healthy as the other 2L gals

The line up

Since we had such shitty weather, I've been putting them under a 19 watt LED strip which I believe is causing them to stretch

It’s definitely causing them to stretch. Drop it down almost on top of them. Almost on top. Not touching.

We had a couple of days with sunshine which helps but these poor gals are being sun deprived and they won't stop stretching from the LED strip.

I gave up on the solo cup and one of the 2 litre gals which was on the weak side...so I'm now legal with 4 plants
IMG_2887.JPG

I have a top reflector but I remove it for the pics

I just not into this grow as I no longer have the spare time to spend on them so I'm thinning out the crowd..... one of the far right was terminated.

IMG_2915.JPG

The friend that gave me these seedlings is not having good results with his plants, which are in soil so I plan on giving him one of mine (these are his plants which are the exact same age as mine).
IMG_2920.JPG

So I transplanted one of the hempy pop bottle gals into soil....was not sure how this would work but it has been a week now and the plant is doing great..... I also dumped a few houseplants and/or trimmed down

IMG_2925.JPG

My plan was to give my friend this plant today for his birthday, but he says it's too big, so I'll give him the little one instead.....now I just might put the other hempy pop bottle gal into soil as well.....much less time & effort than hempy.

Keeping the hempy gal in the grow room and the gal in soil gets sunshine only....I'm starting to see quite a difference in growth rate.

Our weather has been extremely crappy with lots of cloudy/rainy days and cool temps

IMG_2967.JPG

The hempy gal stays in the grow room unless there is decent sunshine, which has not been often.
I recently added two 15 watt LED bulbs to the 19 watt LED strip.

IMG_2974.JPG

The soil gal goes to the back bedroom for some morning sunshine, but it's cloudy again today

I've been having the same issue with my Jack Herer auto at the window. Rubbish weather, overcast, not enough full sun. As a result she stretched like hell...

Yours look a bit bushier, so I think the LED is making a difference. I'm sticking to pure sunlight, even though there isn't much. First day long full sun today for quite some time...

Anyway, best of luck with the grow. Jack Herer is a mice strain so hope you get something out of it at the end. :)

The hempy gal is starting to get yellow leaves, but the soil gal does not

IMG_3026.JPG

these are my friend's plants....exact same strain and age as mine
IMG_3046.JPG

The hempy gals also gets the LED lights when we don't have direct sunshine, thus is bigger than the soil gal which only gets sunshine.

Finally starting to get some decent weather/sunshine

You started your grow same week as me, and your girls are looking good. Mine on the other hand...

Another fortnight or more for your soil girl? Hempy one nearly there?

These gals are so far behind schedule, I'm thinking at least another 4 weeks even for the hempy gal....the soil gal will be even longer

The gals are coming along quite slowly, but our weather has improved considerably

The hempy (left) is bigger and more advanced as she gets the LED's 24/day and/or sunshine when available.

The soil gal (right) only gets sunshine thus will take a few more weeks to finish....they are both 15 weeks old.

My radishes are almost ready to eat
IMG_3160.JPG

These are my friend's plants (same strain/age) ....he chopped the middle one down (too early IMHO) a few days ago.

A few pictures before & after chop day for the hempy gal (plant was a bit over 16 weeks old).

The gal in soil will need 2 or 3 weeks more

pics from about a week ago

Did the chop while watching TV....a bit inefficient but comfortable
IMG_3208.JPG

I did a better trim than my normal

@WattSaver

The root were not firm like normal grows....a lack of good lights and limited sunshine was likely the culprit

22 weeks, the longest auto grow I've ever done.

This gal started as a hempy in 2L pop bottle but was transplanted into soil on May 23 and only had sunshine since.

Her hempy sister harvested a month ago but had the advantage of 49 watts of LED's and sunshine when available.

IMG_3324.JPG

She would lean without the support pole.

Trimed her up while watching a baseball game
