My 1st grow

This is my very first attempt to grow...I just received my seeds a couple days ago. I got SAD Auto, La Diva Auto, Cream Caramel Auto, and my free seed was Roadrunner Auto... Right now I just started germinating the roadrunner, cause it was free, in case I fuck something up... I am going to be using Pro-mix (veg & flower) soil mixed with some used coffee grounds for some added Nitrogen...I will be taking pictures and posting them on here on a weekly basis to document my first grow. Some other information, using 3 CFL's that are 6500K. For the Flowering stage I got some General Hydroponics Koolbloom that is 0-10-10...Haven't exactly figured out what kind I should use for the Veg stage, but hey they are autoflowers so it's only a two or three week cycle, so guess it might not really matter... What I'm looking for is some assistance in picking a decent liquid nute to add prior to the flowering stage. I have read a lot about FoxFarm and others, but it seems like the X-X-X contents are very small numbers. What is a good set of numbers to go with for something like this, like 5-3-5 or something...what nutrients does a pre-flowering plant need besides nitrogen... Any help will be appreciated...Will have my first pictures up in a few days...keep checking back for updated pics and (new problems ???)...

I use the FoxFarm trio of nutes and I highly recommend them. I have had nothing but great success with my plants using them. The Grow Big is 6-4-4 which is very close to what you are searching for while the Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom contain lots of micro-nutrients needed for growing.

Thanks for the help with the nutes...
So this is week 1, I have begun to LST in order to keep the plant low because of the size of the box... Also another little thing that I got hit with this week, some asshole went out and stole all eight of my outdoor plants, needless to say, not very happy about it...Anyway, tell me what you guys think about the progress so far...more pics to come @ week 2...

You need to get that light closer to your seedling. A CFL should be about 2" away from the top of the seedling, and you will see much better progress. Good luck.

Unfortunately the light system is unmovable...however, I will place some books under the pot to build up to the lights...The reason I have them so far away is last time I had my clones about four inches away and they burnt, but I will give it a try for a couple days and see what happens... Oh and Jayjay, I am currently running 3 CFL's that are 6500K...I will be using these lights for the entire cycle...

Niiice.

I would suggest you check out the Jungle Juice lineup from AN. From what I can tell (haven't used it yet), it's just like GH, but it's cheaper....50% cheaper? 40%? I can't remember.

Most new growers want to have cheaper nutes when they're starting off, so they get the hang of things.

Good luckk!

Ok, so now it's week 2...here are the new pics... Seems like raising the pot closer to the light helped a lot, thanks midnight joker... Anyway, have begun adding small amounts of liquid nutes to the watering now...watering only once every 3 or 5 days... If there is anything else that you guys see that doesn't look right, let me know...

Nice job, my friend. Your plant looks much better now. Make sure you are going easy on the nutes, it's still a baby, and feed it every other watering. Other than that, I would say everything is going very well. Congratulations.

Ok, so here are the pictures of week 3 of the Roadrunner automatic...I have noticed that today the top fan leaves are starting to droop, soil was pretty dry so hoping it was just a lack of water...Also have included pictures of my new grow box project...upgrading to 150 watt HPS system instead of the CFL's...let me know what you guys think...CIMG0423.JPGCIMG0424.JPGCIMG0425.JPGCIMG0427.JPGCIMG0426.JPGCIMG0428.JPGCIMG0429.JPGCIMG0430.JPGCIMG0431.JPG
