Recently stumbled upon 10 seeds from BDS (papaya - indica) and germinated 5 of them, all 5 sprouted, and all 5 went into 5 seperate jiffy containers with Sta-Green All Purpose Potting soil (pH set around 6.8 I water/spray the little guys with Schultz 10-15-10 Plant flood Plus, maybe a little early for nutes, but i don't think it will hurt too much.

Just showing pics of a minor setup, recentley found out it may be too HOT in there even with 1 fan blowing because i came home and my seedlings were bent over.

But here is my setup, got 2 7w@30w flouros on the top. and 2 17w@100w CFL's on the side (which are TOO hot) They are inside a small styrafoam box sent by "OMAHA steaks"

So yeah, im a first time grower, first time everyting, really just expirementing, spent a total of about $50 on lights, and thats been my complete budget really, $20 on soil and stuff...

Any help would be nice, strong criticism, etc. etc. so yeah, respond back, thanks!

[PS i planted these July 11th, are they the right size?]

There is an Ifan and there are two ventilation holes, do you think i need more? The holes are 1.5" in diameter, do you think i need more holes or fans? could this be the problem?

my plants are currentley outside in recovery mode... they're sprouting back up.

you need more fans... intake and exhaust... seems like that might be the problem from what i read.. proper ventilation is the key.. so I've always had alot of fans.. in my grow box I'm making now i have one 120mm fan for exhaust and a High pressure 80mm fan for intake and 4 other fans just to move the leaves around

it looks like ur gonna need a bigger space man. looks like those lights are mounted, if you are able to adjust the distance from the plants make sure the light is as close are u can get (without touching)as long as they are CFL's. i too have a CFL grow.comin along alright.

the lights can have new holes cut for them... i can cover up the holes with a reflective surface such as mylar or aluminum foil..

i just want the plants to get big enough to outgrow the box, like perhaps 6" before i put them into a new grow box until they become 12", then im going to put them outside in about 2 months (end of august, beggining of sepember), and have them flower until end of october, then reep the harvest.

My area pretty much is warm and sunny all year round except november/december/january months....so i think they'll be fine outside.

Those two lights on the side are CFL's and the tops are flouros.... it gets defintley WARM in that box, so i have a vortex fan outside blowing in, and the 1 plant that survived (ALL 4 DIED OF HEAT!!!!) is now growing pretty well... i will post pics soon.

the only problem with that is u better hope they auto flower quick or u might be stuck just vegging the whole time while outside and get nothing.
