My 1st Grow Questions

Hey guys this is my first grow. The strain is 8ball kush and it is 12 days from seed. The other in the pic is 3 days from seed. It is an afghan milk strain. The soil is FFOF mixed with perlite. The mix is about 60:40 FFOFerlite. The first seed I didn't put a plastic cover over, the second I did and it looks like its starting off a little faster. How long do you keep the cover on? Also I read that the seeds wont need nutrients for about 2-3 weeks in FFOF, is it about time to start giving my 1st one nutes?

from what i understand, and im not expert, FFOF is a very 'hot' soil and its advised against starting a seed in it. you see a little bit of the yellowing of the leaves, i believe that indicates some sort of nute burn. its good you mixed with perlite, but dont give it any nutrients. the plant needs to develop a good root system and grow up a bit before it can handle anything that isnt already in that soil. and i believe that soil is good enough for the rest of its life. so just chill, let it grow.

FFOF only has nutes for three weeks then you need to feed your plants.

FFOF + Perlite + Voodoo Juice= great start.
