My 165w PL-L DWC Full Tower PC - OG #18

Hi everyone! Sorry again for the extreme delay between updates... things have just been really busy lately.

you may have forgotten to take into consideration keeping their nodes as super tight as you possibly can by stacking things under your pot to bring them close to the light and gradually bring them lower as the plants stretch. There seems to be a lot of stretch inbetween nodes.
I definitely took this into account and always kept the plants as close as possible to the lights. There are pics in the previous page where you can see I was stacking stuff under the res to bring it closer to the lights. Eventually I brought the res all the way down, but the plants just kept on stretching.

I think my biggest mistake was vegging for too long. I think the screen just got way too overcrowded and plants were shadowing each other, which induced the stretching. Currently, the least "densely populated" area of the screen is where you will find the biggest and most dense buds. I vegged for about 4 weeks - should have vegged for only 2 weeks and settled for less tops. Oh well, a lesson for next time :)

I also think genetics played a role here too, as pointed out by sel3ctive. It definitely feels like this strain has a natural tendency for stretching. Which is unfortunate because this was one of the reasons why I specifically chose an indica dominant strain.

Anyway... I'm now at 5 weeks of flowering and the plants feel kinda "meh". At first I thought this was going to be a complete disaster and everything would burn down. Fortunately the stretching stopped shortly after my last update. The plants are putting out lots of trichomes and look all icy, but I'm afraid my yield won't be so great since I lost many of my strongest tops. Also, like I said, the screen is way too overcrowded... it would have been better to have less tops and more light flowing through. What I have so far is mostly popcorn buds. Whatever, it's my first time growing on such a small scale, this is mostly a learning experience. Next time I'm sure I will do better.

The good news is that my washing machine broke down a few days ago and I had two repairmen walking around within 3 meters of the computer case, and I'm happy to say that it passed the stealth test with flying colors :)

Anyway, here are some pics... 5 weeks of flowering:

Looking good man! Nice and bushy, the burning up at the top is a bummer but the lower bud sites are looking great with tons of trichome production. And I can't wait to start my dwc grow here in the next couple of weeks.

Great grow man and totally sick job on the pc dwc setup you got!
