hey people

i've got a Greenhouse feminized white widow 10 days into flowering and she's looking a bit of a mutant.. 13 finger leaves, i'm sure i counted 14 but i can only make out 13 in this pic.. the plant has been growing differently to any other i've seen.. not sure whats up with it, its showing female preflowers so everything is cool so far i guess :weed:

anyone else had this problem, is it something i'm doing wrong or is it just genetics?

thanks for any replys

that is WAY cool...........I don't see it as a "problem", rather an advantage....I mean, if the leaves are our sugar factories, then that thing is the Henry Ford of glucose production!! Killer pic! Is that characteristic of the whole plant, or just various leaves?

Mutants sometimes pump out excellent bud and very unique buds. I'd leave it be. It looks like an otherwise healthy plant. As long as it's healthy, growing, and not a runt it's worth keeping.

the only problem i'm finding with it is its not growing very tall, its still only about 8 inches tall and its been almost 2 months since seed, its the bushiest plant i've ever seen, so compact with leaves everywhere, and stonedloner, these leaves are on almost every cola

i'll keep you updated and add some pics soon

Are you running your veg lights 24 hrs? I had leaves like that and I was told it was because I ran them in 24hr veg lighting.

A little hard to tell in this pic but some of the leaves had 11 fingers protruding out

Didnt turn out to be a problem though. All was good!!

not at all, i had them in 16/8 for 21 days when i switched them to 12/12, i've used a 400w HPS from seed :? lol
my blueberry has way outgrown it, its producing buds already where the WW has just about got its first pistols showing

lets just wait and see, as long as it aint hermie i'll be happy

Glad to hear you're going to let it ride..........I'm betting that it turns out to be a champion!
I've only been growing for a bit more than a year now myself, but every time I get a slow starter, or late bloomer, they always turn out to be heavy yielders, in comparison to plants of the same stature..........good luck bro......

...just thought I'd add............I've heard it said that when you don't see outward signs of growth from a healthy plant, that it is busy building it's root system. And a thriving root system is what seems to drive the success of many hydro operations........?

i thought the problem might be rootbound, as its only in a 8.5ltr autopot, but my blueberry which is in the same size pot and the same ageis flying ahead, its growing bud tops everywhere looking/smelling lovely,

i have one spare empty 15ltr autopot, but which one do i repot? the one which might be rootbound, or the one that looks the most healthy and is already producing nice buds??

i guess i could just order another 15ltr autopot but having xmas just been i'm a bit skint haha

peace

I'm really not so sure that transplanting during bloom is the best idea. Just what I've read, but the bigger the pot, the better that's a fact. I'm just now starting to try a new method of using 5gal buckets with tomato cages in them. The plants have really started to show amazing growth since being put into the big buckets.

From what I've noticed with my widow grow, they do what they want left to thier own devices , mine was a little cute shrub til i flowered her, then she jusrt went mental reaching for the hps, so much so I had to rebuild my cabinet . . . .. and as for fingers , ive found a few 13's in amongst the 7 and 9's , and also 3's and 4's . . nature is a funny thing sometimes, let the freak be herself and she'll repay you for your kindness :)
