i would say that any plant that you have grown and had good experiences with and showed no tendency of turning hermi, would be just fine to breed with. I will say that I feel plants grown from feminized seeds are more likely to hermi than plants grown from reg seeds. Right now I don't have room to grow plants out and sex them, and clone them... So right now I'm growing from fem seeds. I already have strains for when I get room to play with reg seeds.
I got some fem hermies form reserva privada that surprised me. It might have been due to grower error, but I dont think so in this particular case. I assume that this problem comes up more frequently in new hybrid genetics than in IBLs, is that correct?

I dont remember mentioning the details of my current garden but your post is almost as uncanny as the shit 3 posts up from here. I just cracked a Chocalope seed, literally days old (3 in veg, 3 in flower, not just 3 plants total) and am 6 weeks intoa Jack the Ripper by TGA. It is a fucking insane plant! twice as tall and aggressive than any plant that has been through my little space. Im not sure how far back into this post you read, but Im trying to collects some seeds to try some new things because I have no access to quality and variety where I live and thus must provide my own. One goal of the seed collection I am trying to put together is to get a good selection of regular IBL seeds that I can use to breed with later on as I learn more and tinker more in my garden. I recently made my first hybrid cross, P1: chitral kush (Skunk#1XPakistani) female with a P2 of Purple Wreck (purple Urkle X Train wreck), gigantic train wreck pheno. calling it Train Sickle so far,. but if it sucks Im calling it trashcan and it will be spending the rest of its life their. In addition to gettig some IBLs I want to get what the latest and greatest is for this season. I heard so much hype about teh thin mints this winter that IM feeling pretty pressured to scoop that up, regardless of the inflated price they are charging for it.
I'm curious if your chocolopes will be similar. I didn't mention that I grew out 7, got 4 females that were close enough to pass for clones. Either I got lucky, or DNA got lucky with an F1 cross that just happened to produce similar offspring. Anyway, you'll prob dig it.
It is a RP PW. The variations on these seeds were wide and I kept the most flavorful and aromatic one. It doesnt have excellent production and seems to have some issues with nutrient uptake, but its smells and smokes like nothing I have ever had. The others were just standard train wreck phenos mostly. The male I used was just a big ass trainwreck lookin plant with out any purple in it. Curious to see if any of the urckle genetics get passed on to the new hybrid Ill have.
THanks for the suggestions I have the Kandy kush freeby as well but havent tried it yet, looking foward to it now though. Our set ups sound very similar. I too have a similar size collection adn do a few every now and then when i want to try something new, but I definitely buy more than i use. so who know where Ill end up or when i will stop, its an expensive, but fun hobby!
