Music for the plants?

I have heard before, that plants can sometimes benefit from Music being played around them. Mainly classical. I don't know if it's a myth or not, but thought i would ask if anybody here has tried it in a controlled experiment? If not, what are your thoughts in doing so?

i read days of research on this . the best choice is country . then classical . never use heavy metal expose to actually damage a plant .. they feel the vibrations in the music . give them a better growth . now in real life . 5 or 10 fans running and then you have your music . i ran music in my room 12/12 . i did not see any difference at all what i expected .
