mushrooms are far easier to grow than marijuana. at least in my experience with casings and a deep water culture.

Word, I'm a noob with both, but have found that there are many less problems associated with shroom growing than with marijuana growing. With shrooms, if you can avoid contamination, you're pretty much in the clear... with marijuana, there's flies, nutrient deficiencies, nute burns, lighting problems etc... likely more than I even know about.

chewwy, all the strains are the same, buy whichever is cheapest or has some discount/special...

check out the vendors from the shroomery, they should be trustworthy, i used to get them from Ryche at thehawkseye.com...

the aluminum pans i use are baking pans, ~$0.50 each, i make casings with colonized rye/millet grain and 50/50 vermiculite/cococoir...

What site is best to order spores from?and what strain?
Spores101 mushroom spore strains available in print or syringe

Spores are LEGAL to order and own in the United States, and I believe the UK and Canada as well, so you can legally order them online unless you live in Georgia, Idaho, or California.

Here is the link to the psilocybe section. The spores are $15 for a 10mL syringe of them. You can get a $5 discount by typing in the code mycoflash I believe, and maybe more from joining the shroomtalk forums.

Spores101: Psilocybe Cubensis Spores in Print or Syringe

You can also buy bulk. 3 syringes for $40, 6 for $70, 15 for $150 etc.

You can even get 30 for $260, or get spore prints of you want to pay a little bit more money. I'm not sure how it all works, but I have already ordered a syringe off the site for $15. It should be in the mail. :D

soaking, boiling or straining isn't the best thing to do with grains. i've never gotten the water/grain ratio correct.

i use this method Grain for Simple Minds | Fungifun for grains, never get contaminated jars.

i hope everyone is using a pressure cooker, otherwise you're doomed to fail.
