Multiple Strain Smoke/Grow Report

Strain: Master Kush from Dutch Passion (Feminised Seeds)

Information: 95% Indica. A cross between two hash plants (probably)!

Grow Report: This is an easy and very vigorous plant to grow, but not too short. I used topping and supercropping to create a big bush out of her. She was in veg for more than 12 weeks under 400w MH in 50/50 coco & perlite mix. This time for flowering I used a 600w HPS on top (a total of 5000w HPS in the room) and some 400w MH bulbs as side lighting. This way plants finished 1 week earlier than usual and were chopped at 59 days. They also produced more smell and the taste of the final product was better at the end (more on that later). All the lower branches were receiving enough light the whole time from the vertical metal halide bulbs. I used H&G nurient line and the EC was kept under 1.4 throughout the growth with a 5 days flush.

Final Yield: Buds dried for 6 days and were cured for 5 weeks. The final yield is more than 12 ounces from one plant. Very good yield of high quality indica! I was actually a little surprised! (10/10)

Bag Appeal: Large rock-hard nugs with fully ripe dark green/purple calyxes and dark brown/orange hairs. Sugar leaves are all purple on top buds. Also very sticky! (8.5/10)

Smell: Sweet and very earthy/kushy. Had a crazy cold menthol smell and an unreal menthol taste after 3 weeks of cure! (8/10)

Taste: Pretty much like the smell. Earthy with a sweet cool minty aftertaste. The smoke is super smooth! (8.5/10)

High: Very happy & relaxed. Also very clear headed for me. Not that potent, but still is a great high. Very good for pain, stress and insomnia. (8.5/10 for the quality of the high and 7.5/10 for the potency)

Overall Opinion: Very easy grow for beginners and gives great yields of dense buds, if you are considering a longer veg time. (8.5/10)

Strain: Deadhead OG from The Cali Connection (Feminised Seeds)

Genetics: Chem 91 × SFV OG

Sativa/Indica %: 60/40

Grow Report: The first phenotype that I got was a lovely plant. Looked more on the indica side of things with broad leaves and short internodal space. She was grown in coco/perlite 50/50 mix under 400w MH in veg and 800w (2 × 400w) HPS in flower with some metal halide side lighting. She was in veg for 13 weeks and boy, she branched like crazy! VERY stable genetics IMHO. Takes up nutes very well and responds great to training. Deadhead OG was also extremely fast finishing in flower for me and was ready by 8 weeks, but I chopped her at 65 days. The other two phenotypes are more sativa leaning and tend to stretch more in early bloom.

I've grown 8 Deadhead OG plants so far and never had a hermie issue. I don't know why so many people are still talking about big hermie problem in The Cali Connection seeds. But I also don't understand how people are feeding their plants with high EC solutions in coco! Like 2.0~2.5! I never go more than 1.6 EC on any of my plants and even at 1.6 I could obviously see the early symptoms of over fertilization.

Final Yield: 11 ounces off of one huge plant! (10/10)

Bag Appeal: Bright green leaves and dark orange hairs surrouning big ripe calyxes with LOTS of trichomes all over them! VERY sticky! This shit is like glue! You don't really want to pick them up, unless you want to roll a joint or pack a bowl. Very dank looking nugs! (9/10)

Smell: For the first three weeks of cure, it was more of a citrus, earthy smell, but now after 6 weeks of cure buds are smelling like ripe mango with heavy pungent chemy earthy undertones. These buds are loud! People can easily smell them from 12 feets away when the jar is open. You leave that jar open for some minutes and the whole house gonna know something is going on in there. (9/10)

Taste: Thick smoke really expands the lungs, but is soo smooth. Sharp earthy taste on the inhale and a very sweet earthy citrusy taste on the exhale. (8.5/10)

High: Hard hitting, but takes 10 minutes for me to really come on. Very heavy behind-the-eyes type of high that slowly comes down to neck and shoulders and finds its way towards the whole body. Very pleasant high. (9/10 for the quality of the high and 9/10 for the potency)

Overall Opinion: What can I say! I'm very happy with the result! (9/10)

Deadhead OG stretched a little in the first 4 days of 12/12, but I kept the total stretch under 35% with heavy super cropping.
