Multiple big $$$ carbon scrubbers how far can you take it to cleanse?

I'm running 1 12,000 btu a/c. Single hose (yes I know stupid but its what I've got for now)
running up into my attic.
2 x 1,000s over 4 x 8 with 12 plants on it all four foot high + and huge.

I have a 4 foot carbon filter already with a 650 CFM fan in a approx 120 cubic square foot room. Its approx 10' x 11' x 10' and it seems to be doinggood. But I'm on week 1 and am severely paranoid come week 5-6. I bought the bigger C.A.P ozone gen for the attic but I'm paranoid about the ozone making me sick and my pets.

So it boils down to this:

Say I bought a second LARGE 4' carbon scrubber (or even the 5' footer) for the room so it was just totally out of control with another 650 or even 800 CFM in it. Would two separate carbon scrubbers both going full bore 24/7 clean my room to where the attic outlet from my single tube a/c wouldn't be a concern? Is it possible? Or is the ozone a must in the attic and having 2-3 massive scrubbers wont do the trick? :?:

Oh and my scrubber just sits in the room cleansing can on top of scrubber, no ducting connected to it etc.

Your thoughts and input are greatly appreciated.

I have one of those 4 foot carbon canisters with 700cfm vortex and it does a 8x12 area pretty good used that way.
Do you have the pre filter? The sock that wraps around it? If you do I think you should be fine.

Oh my bad, you mean one for the ac exhaust, yeah one more in the attic at the end of the ducting but I would think you could get a smaller fan inline since its already forced by the ac unit.

Yea the white material all the way around the entire cylinder? If thats what you're talking about yes. Another thing I forgot to add is that where I live its not humid but HOT AS HELL so during the summer like now the a/c is probably on 18 hours a day or so I'd guess. Making me more paranoid as the single tube a/c is just hammering my attic. So u say ones ok two would be over-kill and screw the ozone?

No I can't have one in the attic as it gets like 118 degrees up there and the carbon wont work good at those temps. I'm just saying two or three massive scrubbers all sitting solo connected to nothing just scrubbing away. Will it kill the smell in the room itself quick enough so everything going out of the a/c naturally would be so void of smell it wouldnt even matter about ozone etc.

Well wait a minute, the only exhaust that needs to be cleaned it whats going up there.
Theres no need to clean the air in the room if it just stays there right?

take your existing scrubber up to the attic, reverse the fan and attach it to the ac exhaust.
Oh, and remove the prefilter, cut it to size and put in inside. That will clean all the air going up there.

Screw the ozone, this will work.

while ozone can be dangerous in high volumes for extended periods, its not realy that dangerous unless you do something truly stupid. a large generator running in your tiny bedroom w/ the window closed will fuck you up but if you vent your room into your attic & the attic has reasonable ventalation, you wont have a problem if you spend an hr a day in the attic.
your filter should be fine & if it doesn't cut all the smell at the peak times the ozone gen. could be used as a back up. set it on a timer to run for 1/2 hr ever other hour or so and adjust as needed. Ozone has a smell and as long as it is not overpowering & you dont spend alot of time smelling it, you will be fine.

I use both... a large carbon scrubber in the room and inline ozone in the exhaust, so you are never really exposed directly in the room to the ozone... put it on the lowest setting to start, I have a 3 bulb unit..1 bulb on with a timer.... set it at the lowest possible rate that will neutralize the smell but you can't smell the ozone as the ladies mature and smell more adjust the timer or turn on anther bulb... If done properly you can't smell either.....

Why doesn't a carbon filter work at 118? It's at much higher temps that the carbon becomes active in the first place. The only issue I would think of is humidity but you already have an ozone generator! lol

cruzer101 - I don't think I can do that cause the a/c exhaust is like 105 degrees during lights on and the attic during summer gets to around 115 degrees even without the hot a/c pumping up to it. I don't think the carbon will work well at these temps up in the attic. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

mrmadcow - thanks for the advice. Will try it.

donutpunched - what do you have your timer set to at first flip? Same as mrmadcow?

And lastly, so everyone agrees that a second large carbon scrubber in the room would be useless?

I had read somewhere that constant temps over 100 deg reduces the life of the carbon filter and makes it not work as efficient overall. My thinking after reading that was - well ok, the filter is sitting in a 120 deg attic and if that wasnt bad enough now I'm ramming 110 degree a/c air into it while its sitting in the 120 deg attic. Like battle of the volcano heat going on in the thing.

Hey Maleficurum, When I first flip I usuall can do 15 minutes on and 45 off... they dont smell too much then, but 2 weeks out I am usually 15 on 15 off and now with some super stinky OG.... On constanlty lowest setting....
