hey everyone. im planning on moving to southern maine to become a caregiver. Any advice on best doctors to get licensed? how hard is it to get approved to be a patient? any input would be greatly appreciated. id love to make new contacts and just meet like minded people.

While I would guess that most caregivers are also patients, it is not required. You can get licensed (by the state, no doctor involved) as a caregiver regardless.
As for becoming certified as a patient, probably the busiest doctor in southern Maine is Dr. Sulak's office in Falmouth. If you have records and are legit it should be no problem.

thankz. i dont exactly have any medical history. So what im wondering is how would i go about getting a patient card? Also, what towns in southern maine are more friendly towards cannabis use and cultivation?

Do you have any medical issue that could possibly fit the criteria? If so but no records, you'll have to establish a record first probably. Sulak is not difficult to get a card from, but there has to be some legitimacy.
I don't think you'll find a problem in most places if you're following the rules.

I'm in maine. Its a good move if you want to grow. Very laid back and everyone and their uncle has a card. Even if you don't its essentially no big deal nowadays.

No big deal? lol
They just sentenced an entire family of 4 to jail for cultivating last month!
The caregivers are now subject to random searches(sheriff dept)...plus they have to have a pesticide license as of this year....here's another tidbit...the current caregivers have themselves a grandfather clause in the latest legislation...theyll be able to expand(plant count)...while new sign ups wont
a patient is limited as we'll(6plants) but not subject to rules that come with supplying someone else

Hey A+ can you explain a little more about what you're referring to re: grandfathering of current caregivers? I am familiar with much of the proposed legislation and initiatives but not the expanded plant count you mentioned.
