Moving into flower

Hey guys,

So I'm 31 days into my auto grow and I'm loving it. Despite what people say, autos are great! They grow quickly, require little attention because as they say 'less is more' compared to photos so I'm rarely in the tent and just yeah. They are out performing my last photo grow by far.

I'm just posting to check they are doing alright. There is some burning on the tips but otherwise.i think they look gorgeous. I cant get the nutrient solution just right to suit both plants so I'm somewhere in the middle of what they both like right now.

I've been pulling down the branches of the lsd 25 (bushier one) to allow as much light as I can to prime bud sites where then the lemon zkittles is a sativa therefore light penetration isn't a worry.

What do you think? Is there anything I should be doing? When to change over to flower nutes? They both have 'pre pistils'. Next Thursday is the beginning of week 5.

Other info:

Seeds: lsd 25 / lemon zkittles
Medium: clay balls in the bottom - 2 inch, coco then coco mixed with clay balls, then just clay balls surfacing the top
Nutrients: Remo nutrients following normal feeding schedule (slightly dialled back)
Light: 300w Led 20/4

Autos are absolutely magical and awesome. The main thing you need to be aware of is people telling you complete bullshit. For example your plant appears to be perfect, that little bit of tip burning can happen or not, in your case it means nothing. So for example it would be easy for someone to jump in and try to convince you that your bit of tip burn means that you are a bit strong on the nutrient, that's the sort of rubbish (in this case) you need to be aware of. Clay balls are the best hydro medium, if you're using a good quality three part then you will definitely not need to go futzing around with the cal/mag idiocy, I've never needed that ever on any plant. Maybe in soil, I don't know.

Autos love to be topped usually at the 3rd 4th or 5th node depending and don't be afraid to defoliate as necessary to let the light in if the plants are healthy you can really go to town. Especially in a good hydro which you seem to have, then they can really show you what they've got. You don't want to switch to flowering nutrients until you're at least a couple of weeks into flower. Plants are not as fussy with nutes as you might be led to believe which was one of the things I wanted to show by growing 3 different strains in the same 4 gallon shallow water culture. whole-pot.jpg No special treatment was needed all three Pineapple Gum, Pink Grapefruit and White Widow all autos. No additives, no infra red, or UV or anything special. It would not be unusual to have three beans all the same grow completely differently to each other.

Here's my three, White Widow, Pineapple Gum and Pink Grapefruit, incredibly frosty even on the under leaves buds are just like sugar candy, here's a tiny bit of bud bud-bit.jpg you can see it missing from heretwo-buds.jpg.
