So I have been running a 13k btu stand up ac cooling a room that has 2 4x8 tents with 1200w hps in each tent. I am looking to just get rid of the tents and have the room completely sealed besides the a/c heat outlet and the small space under the door. I will be running a scrubber or two in the room, but my question is will the heat from the a/c that's being shot outside stink at all? Only answer if you have actual experience with one please.

I have a dual hose A/C and there is a hint of weed in the air outside if you stand within 5 ft of the window where it blows out. I have not tried to figure out how to stop it since my dog is always guarding that area and nobody can get close enough. On a windy day it sometimes get carried away and you can smell it from the sidewalk but if windy you cant really track it back.

If I used a scrubber large enough to process the air in the room every 30 seconds or so do you think it would get rid of it?

Thanks for the info brother.

Size your carbon filter and fan correctly and you should have no smell in the room for the a/c to exhaust. If you have your a/c ducted to a window then just attach another carbon filter at the end of the ducting for backup. If you have a dual hose a/c then with the right carbon filter you won't have a problem.

It has only one hose for the heat. The cold air is shot out a vent. So as long as the air in the room fits the cfm rating I should be fine? For the back up you mean to have the air blow through the filter? Unfortunately because of the place of the window it wouldn't be practical to have a filter sticking out of my window. Again thanks for the info.

Exactly, oversize the fan/filter combo for a room that is 25% bigger than yours. That should turn the air over enough to keep all odor out. Also, you don't have to have a filter sticking out of your window. You can buy sheets or rolls of carbon filter onlie or at home depot? Look for anywhere that sells air purifiers. They all use carbon prefilters. Just fuld a sheet up a few times and stick it in front of the window.

I found some carbon filters at target. There for a small air purifier. Thin sheets that I cut to fit the intake portion of my a/c. So far so good no real smell. But I'm allso only starting week 2 of flower. Not sure what it will do late flower or how often I need to change it. If I have to do it weekly it will be cheaper to buy a 8" filter and hook that to the inside intake of the AC. But trying this first.
