Moving from CFLs for veg to sunlight for flower- problem?

I was wondering if maybe vegging- maybe even getting them in flower a few weeks- then moving outside into the sun is a problem for the plants?

Thoughts?

It shouldn't be a problem. The plant might wilt a little under the intense sun but just spray a few times during the day and it should get used to it. Are you in season for flowering outside? like will they actually flower?

Won't be able to spray during the day because I'm gone. Was going to start 12/12 and move outside when they flower, maybe even after a 3-4 weeks of 12/12 so that hopefully they fatten up and produce more resin that way. I just don't have room to put enough lights around them when they flower and get taller so the buds would suffer. Would be moving them out when there's still around 13 hours of daylight but figured that won't confuse the plants much and they wouldn't be getting full daylight sun either, more likely 10 hours.

Na if i was you i would veg em as big as your growspace can take, and then move outside and then coz its not flowering time outside, they will veg even longer and you'll end up with some big plants if its a big plant strain. If you flower for a bit inside and then put outside, it will fuck up the plant a bit. Trust me on this i do it every time.
Peace

what he said ^^^^... Try to vegg with 24 hours of light for a while then put them outside so the shorter days will trigger it, well thats what ive done and worked.

when you put them outside ease them into the new light, do 6 hours cfl and them the rest sun, or whatever you want but give them a chance to get used to the huge amount of light theyre going to receive

My plants were plagued with probs under my cfls, and since puting them outside they have exploded with growth under the sun. I really cannot believe the difference it has made on the growth rate.

Why do you have to ease them in the light? I just planted them straight in the ground, and they didn't have any adverse effects.

Well it all depends on where you live the temp. of the out side and the tamp. of what you had on the inside, im in Central Cali. and right now is about 109 midday, and 75 in my house. So thats y i have to train mine.

Thanks for the answers. Unfortunately they are in my house, where it's actually pretty humid and warm by day, and I have to take them straight to some property I have about 20 minutes away and that's where they will flower. I was hoping to get them started flowering for a few weeks then move them out but probably will just go straight to outside from veg. I might give them a few days of 24/0 first though. But at any rate, I can't really ease them in to the sun, they'll have to survive. I'll only get to water them once a week but they'll be going into the ground so rainwater should help saturate the roots some.

I'll say this, they have vegged like beasts indoors. I have one that came up July 2nd so it's just a little over two weeks and it's on it's 6th node and bushy as hell and still have two more weeks of veg. Stem base and branches are surprisingly stout and it's two different strains and both are the same way. If they're female I should get a real nice little harvest. August is going to be brutal heat but if they get through the first two weeks they'll be fine and they'll only be getting 10-12 of sun outside which is enough, hopefully not overwhelming.

I've topped them both once, to increase yield. Is there a downside to topping again after the new shoots get a few nodes grown out?

Thanks.

I am planning also to cut the bottom couple branches off of each plant as those usually don't amount to much and take up energy that could be used to push the plant up closer to the sun and grow colas. How many nodes can I chop off without causing too much stress? Right now they are busy down to the soil. I guess when you cut the branches you take the shade leaves too?
