Is this just a recipe for disaster? i have a 22" strip t5 with a reptile bulb in it but the only place i can fit it in the tent is with duct tape. The light doesn't get hot or anything but i'm afraid it is still a fire hazard. Anyone done this before?

22 inch T5 ain't gonna do poop to illuminate anything but seedlings, use a proper light a bank of 54w T5's will cut it 6-8 on chains adjust daily

I use tape on everything, it will work only if the bulb doesn't get very warm. Duct tape becomes goo after being in contact with direct warmth. Try it and see how hot it gets.

I wouldn't trust duct tape to hold anything that could fall and hurt the flowers but that's just me my man !

your asking for trouble. there has got to be a better way, wire, string, chain, conduit bracket holding 2x3 to corner post....

i will be turning it off before i open the tent anyways, even tho its weak.
ya ive been told the uv from a 10.0 reptile t5 is very minimal, but i have a spare strip t5 and it was like 15 bucks on amazon, worth a try, the problem is i have a tiny tent, 2x2 so just the HPS alone takes up nearly all the tent id have to hook it to a wall of the tent or too the light. Neither of which i can put holes in.

i have HVAC aluminum ducting take that is made for heat, im more worried about the light falling and lighting the plants and my house on fire. Pretty sure im going to have to rethink it as i feel tape is not a great option

Anyone know if it would void my lights warranty if i put 2 holes in it? Its a sun system all in one 400w/250w hood/ballast

Sorry if I come accross as dogmatic, but I have had friends in the past that decided to use UV A+B in theirs grows in late bud, and both are wearing glasses, like bubbles one with early cataracts, I'm no optician but seeing these guys since..I've always allowed my plants to get as much sun during the last few weeks, sun is best and safe
