Mould/rot just before harvest - what to do?

Hi guys, I’ve got 2/3 days left until my plants have been in flower 8 weeks and they’re rock hard with orange pistils, they look really good

Over the last couple of days I’ve noticed bits of bud rot on a couple of colas and I’ve just cut it out but today it was quite a lot worse

do I leave them for a bit longer or should I cut them down tomorrow and get a dehumidifier?

any Tips on this?

Personally i would take them now as they look great, and not risk any more damage to the crop, but hey thats just my rookie opinion i dont really know anything lol.

Mix 30% milk 70% water in a gallon. Mist thoroughly and allow to dry repeat. Let sit a couple days and it will kill all mold and then mist with straight water to rinse away. You can spray everything room n all. It will keep mold away. So you never need to deal with it getting on your girls again.

Oh man… bud rot is a bitch. I’d cut n run if it was mine. Sorry but I don’t think milk will do. N I’ve never heard of a cure for bud rot.

When I get bud rot, I cut 2” below the affected parts, mist the cut area of plant with straight hydrogen peroxide(from the dollar store) discard the bud rot parts and triple wash anything salvageable
Usually I keep a bowl of 1 part hydrogen peroxide two parts water next to me and I put the salvageable buds in there for a few minutes until I get the triple wash done.
I also make sure I do all this before the sun hits or after because the hydrogen peroxide will burn the plant in the sun.
But I catch it right away and it usually nips it in the bud and the rest of the plant finishes fine.
Unfortunately my area is super prone to mold and mildew. But It isnt the end of the world you can still get a great harvest it just isn’t as much. But better than nothing!!
There are videos on you tube about triple washing the harvested bud. It actually works very well and the smoke dries and cures beautifully!!
(: :weed: :peace:

Bud rot always attacks the nicest buds; because they're the densest.
I only get it outside where it gets humid. In my grow space I run 2 dehumids to keep the RH around 55%. If you don't have a dehumid then it's going to get worse and not better for your plants. Probably best to chop and get a dehumid for next time.

You can try everything to keep it away but it's there
You have two choices 1 try and fix the situation resulting in most likely more loss just to finish with possibility you'll have rot in all your bud. 2 chop and fix area moisture so next time you don't have to worry.

But I can tell you that 9/10 here will probably tell you to chop.
