Mould resistant strains. Advice needed

Hey guys. I've been growing indoor/outdoor for many years now with varied success. My success is in the hands of the elements as I grow in a very warm environment (up to 40°C) that gets a good rainfall, thus can get extremely humid (Northern NSW, Australia). I've been using a strain that handles the elements well (most of the time) but it's nothing special. I love my earthy, pungent indica dominant strains, but I really have no idea on which strains grow the best in different geographical and temperate locations. I was wondering if anyone could name an nice indica dominant strain or two that can handle the humidity mentioned above, and pull off a decent amount of bud. I am open to 50/50 indica/sativa, as long as the flowering time is under 10 weeks and it's got a punch.
Im looking forward to some experience and knowledge getting thrown my way.

I’ve got relatives in NZ that do big outdoor grows of around 400 pound between 4 of them each year (very humid, and not as warm as where you are)
and their main strain is AK47.
I think they use it predominantly for its fast flowering which in turn reduces the risk of being exposed too long to high humidity and big rain falls that happen towards the end of the season...

But from my experience if you top a lot you will get more smaller colas that will be less susceptible to bud rot.
Also air flow is crucial so a good defoliation can really help too.
Also if you get a big downpour you could throw a cover over them, if this can’t be done then once the rain stops, make sure you give every branch a good shake!

One strain I know from experience to stay away from if mould is a concern is Mango.
She moulded pretty bad for me last season, whereas the others didn’t.

Northern lights and super lemon haze are supposed to be quite mold resistant too.

Thanks for that mate. I recently purchased feminized White Widow X AK-47 seed, so maybe lady luck is on my side. Somebody else told me that WW also has mould resistant properties? And as for topping the plant, I usually tie my plants down to let the bottom growth come through, but I'll do some experimenting with your suggestion.
I'm having to grow with stealthy, so shelter may be a bit hard, but I'll see what I can construct in case of extended rain periods. I really appreciate the advice man. I'm feeling a little more confident about my latest strain selection now.

Yep, should be a good strain I’d say,
Most of the whites are pretty good and when crossed can produce some phenomenal yields.
I grew a 1 pound white Siberian outdoors last year that had a moderate amount of rainfall on it late flower (shook all the branches after rain had passed)
And had no mold, whereas one of the strains I had under cover in the greenhouse (mango) got infected fairly bad.

Is a cheap greenhouse on eBay an option?
Something like this...
I think their about $250? steel frame.
Keeps the rain off them!

Thats an awesome setup man. Unfortunately a greenhouse isnt an option at present. Im living smack bang in the middle of town, so im having to get stealthy as hell. I only go out bush at night. Lucky I'm a bit of an insomniac or itd be hard going. Lol. Looking at buying a block of land at the end of the year, so I'll be able to get something decent going then. The system I've got going at the moment is moving along nicely, breeding and raising indoor, then throwing them out to further veg, and bloom. There's always risks involved, but I'm taking as little risk as possible.
Youve got me a bit jealous of that setup bro. Nice work.

Outdoor greenhouse growing is the shit!
Best of both worlds, like indoors, you can pretty well control the environment if you wish but also grow under the sun, taking advantage of the best lighting available to man and it’s free to run, don’t have to worry about replacing bulbs or lights, timers playing up, power cuts etc.
Simple and effective imo.

Definately get a block of land somewhere a little remote if you can, a couple of grows will pay for it

Amen to that bro. Love taking advantage of natural lighting. And you can't beat that earthy taste that seems to only be obtained when growing outdoors. Whether it be in soil or a hydro medium. I'm hoping that my current grow will pay for most of the block. If not, it'll be a fat deposit. I've spent the last 10 years doing the solo parent thing. Growing weed was what I missed most about my pre-parenting life. It's so good to slowly regain my independence. Three kids gone and two to go.

Things like thai strains cambodian Laos etc would work great with your climate and latitude id bet plus (think its meo thai) thai is in ak47 anyway lol
