Motion Sensor controlled growroom?

So I just had one of those ideas that you only get from sleeping on something (thinking about it when you go to sleep).

I have a motion sensor light that when comes on, also makes a light come on inside to alert. But I am thinking about using the sensor to activate a kill switch on all the electronics (fans/filters/pumps). Feedback?

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'd have to get some kind of switch that could handle that much load.

It's not really a question, it's me sharing an idea and asking for feedback. I think it would be great for those people who would be interested in an automatic kill switch. The application I am using pretty much requires it, as noise is our enemy.
