Mother plant.

Hi all.
hope you all safe and well during these tough times globally.

quick question.
does my mother plant have to be from seed or can I use a clone ( healthy) and keep her as mommy?

I'm sure you can considering she’ll stay in veg under 18h.
just putting out there as a question for extra opinions on this maybe.

Good Morning
In my opinion the Mother plant can be from either seed or clone. It definitely has to be female so you want to make sure it’s a feminized seed. A clone is a definite female plant because obviously you would get or take a clone from a female plant. All the Mothers I have seen have been on 24 hour light schedule. But I am sure someone with experience growing a Mother plant will chime in and give you more advice on this

Hi.
yeah thanks. She is fem from royal queen seeds Hulkberry so good reliable breeder. I’ve just been clone for the past year off each new grow but I now see the advantage in making space for a mother and having quicker and more scheduled grows.

Hope your well!
I just want to share some info I found out since we talking Mother clones and your the only one that responded that being said, I live in South Africa Cape Town is love to chat with growers more and live and maybe video call and get advise and see their grows, just to learn and share, so you know of any platform like that I could try joining.

simple but very NB and I didn’t know or thought wouldn’t be an issue is mother must be from seed. I thought it’s a clone right! So what’s the prob? Buttheres more to it and I won’t bore you any further.
