mother plant and cloning

i was wondering if you cut a mother plant cause i'll probley only have one plant to start out with cause i'm new at growing. anyways if i cut a clone from her will she die? also when is the best time to cut from her to make clones?

You can take cuttings off of a healthy mother for years - it does nothing to her other than a bit of temporary stress.
You can take clones anytime a plant is healthy - even in full flower.

Lol no motherplants do not die after you take a clone off them. I grow out my mothers a lot before I take cuttings because I like to have plenty of cuttings at the same time. Im sure there is a set number of nodes to be the green light, but I dont know it.

I think he means to ask when is the soonest time you can take a cutting.
