funny thing, this morning one of my home built drivers blew up and i'm now running at half power with no CC function. I ordered an HLG-600-48A this afternoon to replace it and I got free shipping on it from Mouser - and it was cheaper than Digikey. Cost me $290 in the local currency, so about $192 american doll hairs. not all that bad considering the geographical isolation. by ordering just one at a time I can avoid all the customs and import tax drama as it's under the customs limit, so I'll order one every two days until I've got four in the mail individually. probably for the best at the end of the day - the drivers I have at the moment are built out of CNC stepper motor power supplies feeding into DC to DC converters and they pull something like 800 watts on the primary to produce 510 watts at the strips. with the meanwell drivers it should be no more than about 540 watts on the primary, that will add up. probably pay for themselves in six months.
