its going to be bit to really get to working its not a instant thing takes around a week when top dressed you could try tilling it in the top maybe help get it in there
i dont mess with ph'd water but maybe you could ask someone that knows if you could just raise the ph of your water for the amount of time it takes for the lime to kick in

I use a 10 gallon tote for a hefty ScrOG, such as that. can salt build-up cause lock-out? heck yes, it can.

You get the deficiencies from the burn. When you have too much of a nute (burn), your plant will not absorb other nutes it needs (deficiency). For example... too much Nitrogen will lock out Calcium. A balance of nutrients keeps the plant functioning at it's maximum. If the balance is thrown off, the plant does not absorb everything like it should.
