after a closer examination i found several other broken twigs as a result of Nicholas, near the center with less support. not gonna let it go to waste of course so i dried the immature buds in the oven at 170deg or less for just a few minutes so i could break it up a little easier, then carboxolyzed (240deg for 40 min) wrapped in a foil pouch, added to a roughly equal volume of coconut oil with lecithin added (1 tsp/cup ratio), then put it in a water bath around 180-200 deg for a couple of hours then let sit overnight, then strained.

ended up with 2.5 fluid oz, that was from about 1/4 oz i guess of cannibis

1/4 tsp under the tongue and yep. it worked. ;-)
cant wait for it to get to harvest time.

great for a test run, now i just have to decide how to tweak it - suggestions? what i did was kinda about the average of what i read from several other recipes. some had a hotter bath, some less hot, etc.

(not buying a carboxilyzer, yet anyway) i realize there is inefficiency in the oven method, but with the amount of cannibis i have, i will have enough to last me a year at least - probably a gallon or more.

Sorry for your loss but at least you got something. Mine got way too tall if a big thunderstorm rolls through at least one of my girls is toast.
