Montana Caregiver Law?

Ok so I was recently told that it was made law in Montana that to be a caregiver you can't be a medical marijuana patient (You aren't allowed to smoke). I thought this was complete bullshit because how do you learn to grow if you don't become a patient??? And how do you apply to just be a caregiver? It just sounded stupid. But then today they told me theyre caregiver got a letter saying he weren't allowed to be a caregiver anymore because he's a patient.

Is this idiot blowing shit out his ass or is this true???

Let me set the record straight.

In Montana you can be a PATIENT & CAREGIVER at the same time. You can't be YOUR OWN CAREGIVER but you are allowed to be a caregiver for others. With that said as a patient you are still allowed to grow your six plants, so in essence you are your own caregiver, but not in the sense of the word as the Montana Medical Marijuana Act defines caregiver.

The SB325 that this other caregiver is referring to only clarified the law stating CAREGIVERS ONLY can not USE their medicine for their patients.

If they are a patient AND a caregiver then they can use medical cannabis.

The issue was the original law had an error stating a CAREGIVER could use medical cannabis, which is inaccurate UNLESS they are also a patient!

That is the law, and trust me I am a patient and a caregiver and VERY well versed in the law :)

If you all want a caregiver that is rock solid, give me a shout. We provide only medical grade cannabis for a flat rate per oz. No schwag for 200/z and purple urkel for 550/z here, straight price for all strains.

Patient care & education center in Ennis and statewide delivery multiple times a month.

Hi I have a friend that recently became a caregiver in MT and plans to grow at her friend's house who also is a caregiver. Is this legal? I recommended that she at least get a utility bill there in her name or something...would the law have something to say about her growing somewhere that she doesn't officially live? I can't find specific info in this, thanks in advance if anyone can help.

I've heard of people doing this I personally would set up a notorized contract and keep the caregiver cards with the plants in same house that is and label your plants by patient and caregiver
