You can place your 1000 watt HPS as close to 10" away from the tops

You will be giving them over 3 times the amount of light if you place the bulb at 10" rather than 18".

IF you got good temps and air flow... you should be fine...

like I have a 600 HPS and I read in Jorge Cervantes book that I had to have it 18-24" but my plant was stretching like a mo-fo...

lowered it to 8"
but my temps weren't in line. so I has happy @ 10"
 
my 1000 watt is cooled by a 630 cfm exhaust blower so i can put that lght pretty close. Ill have some fresh pics tomorow of the S.A.G.E. x OG KUSH. Theres buds eerywhere, but thy are very small. I can only guss on the flowering time because a leggy plant likethat seems like it would take a longer time to flower. So im expectig to harvest around last week of jly first week ofaugust. If non of these plants produce respectabe buds Ill turn all four of tem into bubble hash.

Just put your hand a inch above your plants and lower your light as close as possible to the point that its comfortable for your hand to be under for at least minute or so.the more airflow the closer you can go.looking forward to new pics
 
The hell if I know. I have gravity flower hardener I want to use 3 weeks before harvest but I have no Idea when this thing will be done. I can gaurantee it is not the real S.A.G.E. x og kush. Ive lookd into it. This strain I bought at a cannabis club in sacramento.
 
hey guys i posted a while back on the thread,im about to harvest my first grow, its some type of kush.i got just 1 female,but i think i did a good job with her,im hoping to get 2-3 oz's off her,im gonna chop her down in like 6 7 days :) comments welcome
