Alright I'm sending them an email. However, If Conroy hasn't jumped all over this by now and he wants to change the system I don't see HC who want to keep the system doing much either. This is what I wrote to them:
Hi,
I am writing to inform you that I received moldy cannabis from Tilray. I have tried to deal with them however I find their response to be inadequate. When I offered to send it back for testing they said they would prefer if I destroyed it. I feel a test would be beneficial to determine the type and origin of the mold. They are currently claiming they tested the stuff they still have in house and that it tested low for contaminants and, that they are certain something must have happened to it in transit. That being said, they use Purolator for shipping. Purolator does not require a signature upon delivery so I usually find it sitting at the base of my stairs to my home. Which I also find unacceptable. It is just in the open, where anyone could steal it. When the package arrived, the box was sealed but the vacuum sealed bag containing the smaller bags of medication was no longer vacuum sealed. It was loose, but I still had to use scissors to open it so there must have been a small hole in it. I did not open the bag of Skywalker OG immediately as I still had some from last order. When that ran out I opened the bag and began to inspect the buds and transfer them to the jar I keep my cannabis in. That's when I found the mold. The first thing i noticed was that the cannabis was much damper than usual and had a musty odor to it. The other strains I ordered at the same time were fine but, then again they were not left in the bags for as long. Upon finding the mold i immediately notified Tilray and it was not until the next day until i was able to speak to an employee. It quickly escalated up the chain of command and i wound up speaking to Philippe Lucas, VP of patient research. Pretty much from the get go they were making the assumption that it was nothing they had done but, how can they be sure if they don't want to test the product I received. They sent me a replacement order and asked that I destroy the first order that was contaminated and video tape it so that the replacement amount would not count against my monthly allowance. So, I did just that however I "quarantined" the initially non moldy Skywalker to see if it eventually became moldy as well, and I also held on to a small amount of the moldy cannabis incase it did later need to be tested. So after a few days I checked on the previously non moldy cannabis and it did begin to grow mold as well. At that point I took more photos and recorded the destruction video to send Philippe. I sent the photos to Philippe and was essentially told that they may never know what happened to that bag of medication I received but thanks for keeping them informed on how things are progressing. So, I am now writing to inform you and hopefully you can hold them to a higher standard than I was able to. I am including a link to my Dropbox account where I have uploaded the photos of moldy cannabis and video of the destruction of the infected cannabis. I also still have the sample I retained of the moldy cannabis incase you would like to test it yourselves.
