Moldy buds?

I have some buds that have been curing for anywhere from 1-2 weeks depending on the jar. All of a sudden it has a funky taste and smell, and not a good funky either. It does not smell like ammonia really and I do not see any kind of white fuzz anywhere on the buds. I have even looked at them under a microscope and they look perfectly normal. Nothing but nice fat trichomes looking back at me. This is my first grow, and I would really hate to throw these out. Any suggestions?

Did you open the jar every day? Was there ever moisture inside? I don't know what to say it might be, mould should be visible especially with the scope. Did you examine all the buds thoroughly?

when you put them in the jar did you ever open the jar every once in a while? Buds can seem dry but once put in an airtight container the moisture is evenly distributed and you need to let that air out and turn the buds a few minutes each day until they are sufficiently dried for long term storage. If you haven't done this perhaps now u could or you could dry them out completely if your really worried better safe than sorry. Such a thin line between good moisture and moldy moisture.

Yup..Them jars have to be opened each and everyday for quite sometime. And before you put them in the jars, you wanna make sure the buds are fully dry,and the stem snaps when you bend em.

One last thing, For long term storage, throw the mason Jars in the refrigerator, Keeps them nice and fresh. Nothing worse than either moldy cannabis, or stale taste.

Thanks, I opened them at least twice a day took them out of the jars, and put them back in. Maybe I put them in jars a little too early. I have them all sitting with the jars open now and the smell is still there but it is definitely not as strong. Hopefully this will help if I let them air out for a bit. I made some dank butter with the leaves and some of the buds. I hope these guys turn around.
