Molded bud help?

Looking for some clarification...

I finally had my first run in with the nasty mold. I am guessing it happened during a series of power outages during my drying. RH spiked to 75-80% when my dehumidifier stopped working.

I didn't realize that I had mold because there was no sign of it on the outside of my BIG beautiful buds. No brown spots, no mushy spots. Just that devious fuzz at the stems inside my dense colas when I went to start trimming. The fuzz is ever so slight but obviously still apparent. It only seemed to effect the tops of the colas.

Bottom line: Is it safe to smoke the lower, less dense buds? I spent hours going over them with a loupe and cannot see any mold. I know that the worry with mold is the spores that you cannot see. I have had to throw out SO MUCH of my best harvest ever. Just hoping I can save some relatively safely. This is only a for personal, medical use but I am nearly out and dont have the ability to afford more:/

toss it dont even risk it. i lost a tiny bit of my harvest I made sure to really go thru every bud that was harvested.

without pictures its tough to give a recommendation and most wont want to because of the health implications involved

but in the past when i have had mold i have removed any colas with any mold (white fuzz, dark mush, yellow sugar leaves, any signs etc.) and smoked the rest.
has to be a personal choice that you make for yourself really.

if you're in the position to trash the whole harvest and be alright medically/financially then that's most ideal.

Whats the difference between your harvest and mine? I also made sure to really go through every bud harvested. How did you manage to save some yet you are telling me to toss mine?

if u see mold its bad if u don't see any its most likely good. I usually toss anything that the said infected cola was touching because once drying it likes to pop up even more. if u see fuzz its most likely bad.

Unfortunately I am not in a position to get more. I do understand the majority of the health inplications thats why I have tossed more than 60% of my crop. I am talking about the lower stuff, well below the infected colas

Tossed the top 10-12 inches of cola and only found the mold in the top 6-8 inches. So is it safe to smoke the stuff below what I have cut. Its far less dense but its medicine. I have gone over all of it painstakingly and see no signs of ANY mold in it.

I'm sure I seen a thread on how to sort mouldy buds, do a search through recent posts

I personally would have no qualms about smoking it. I've been in the same boat and that is what I do.

Appreciate that. Been smoking for 25 years or more. Cant imagine I havent smoked some crap over the years. Devastating to toss so much but I feel like whatever is left is salvageable.

you can water cure it if youre really concerned. but that will remove all the taste/smell
