Mold?

Just noticing this now. It hasn't been especially damp or humid so this really comes as a shock if it is mold. I've been checking on my girls obsessively so I'm fairly certain this broke out today. Is it mold? What can I do? So far I only see it on 2 out of 10 but these two are the closest to maturity. Should I just chop and hope for the best with the rest? Obviously I'll do what I have to do to save what I can but it kills me that these were two of the best looking and they're not at their full potential yet.

Also is this preventable? I realize I didn't give any context above, This is an outdoor project in 5 gallon buckets. I have used necrotic leaves as a top dressing, and have been feeding them Alfalfa tea. My last batch of tea did have some fungal growth on the top but I didn't think anything of it at the time. This batch was fed to them approximately one week ago.

Looks like powdery mildew.. need an organic antifungal spray!!

Yeap that's pm, don't think your cantaining that now, see it on heaps of leaves, might be able too ride it and bud wash if you don't get bud rot

I hesitate to spray directly with anything this close to harvest. However I realized something will probably be needed along those lines. Is there a go to for this sort of thing that is known to be safe? Some sort of vinegar dilute Maybe?

You can wipe your leaves with abit of water and washing detergent or milk and water

A quick search lead me to two possible solutions. One part hydrogen peroxide to 16 Parts water. Or one part milk to 9 Parts water. Spray where visible. Is there any advantage to one over the other or any better options? I imagine neither will hurt the buds.

Try milk first with water and a cloth, pm should wipe off

It's getting too dark to see and it's too widespread to wipe all the affected leaves. I had to settle for giving the affected plants and their neighbors a milk water misting. I hit my cucumber plants too. They were rife with pm and somewhat close by, no doubt it started there and spread. A lesson learned, at least there's an easy fix. As always, you guys are awesome.

to prevent PM, you need to apply some kind of foliar spray containing a probiotic culture. you can also eradicate an existing problem using neem oil but using both a probiotic and neem together works even better. I like fresh kambucha and neem mixed together but also i use activated EM and neem. Many FPE extracts work too if they contain high amounts of antioxidants. when the PM appears to be gone you dont have to spray neem so religiously and can stick with probiotcs and maybe capsicum to prevent pests.

i should make a ghost chili kombucha for garden use :hump:

even lactose free outdoor growers keep milk powder in the camp

I`ve learned to always use a systemic antifungal at the start of flowering outside, and sometimes you still get fucked, lol

i forget who recently pointed out that using foliar in the morning is ever so better than using it at night. at night the water doesnt evaporate so quickly and can cause mold and rot. but used in the morning allows it to evaporate. and by the mid day it's dry on the leaves and flowers so no burning occurs.

I got some of this on closeout at Wal Mart because winter is coming: I paid $1. It seems pretty good. I had a few plants and it seems to help. I tried skim milk and water and it was so so. Do you have fans running in your rooms?
