Mold?

The fungus is usually a sign of a healthy rich soil! I had a crop of mushrooms sprout from the bottom of one of my grow bags.
That makes sense, I forgot I just top dressed for the first time last week. Maybe the beneficials from that took off and produced this.

I run organic and I’d agree with that. Anything dead and lifeless shouldn’t be hangin’ out in your soil. My humble opinion and practice anyway.
So would you consider what I’m seeing in my soil a bad thing? Im guessing it’s either from a recent top dress, or it’s the dead leaves.

From what I’ve found online, it’s common to see this after top dressing. Kind of the point of having all the beneficials in the top dress mix, I believe they’re breaking down the leaves.

you get white fluffy mould on organic matter in the bags of soil, it will die off as you go through the wet dry cycle, mould thrives in damp conditions, so just wait till it dries and it should die off.
i grow organic and have never had problems with it hanging around

You dont want mould that breaks down cannabis kicking around lol do yourself a favour top dress with non cannabis stuff as for the grey stuff on top of the soil its harmless we should always remove the dead leaves from plants tho to be safe

Mycelium… mycorrhizae fungi in the soil attaches to the plants root system and assists with absorption of nutrients. Hates high levels of NPK like say from an overdose of soluble nutrients. Upset the fungi and it will upset the plants and ph balance as well. Mycorrhizae is the basis of the soil food web.
