Mold on soil?

There is mold on the top part of my soil. I am getting rid of the soil w the mold on it is there anything esle I should do?

Are you certain its mold? Is it green? Blue?
Or is it just fuzzy and VERY white?
What kind of soil?

There is fungus in all good soil. Myco fungi is the shit if your into synergistic benefits. Sort of depends on what variety you got. Is it white?

I think a layer of wood chips or mulch will stop anything green underneath.
