I have looked for bugs. Haven't found any. I first notice a white mold that does look like webbing, but like I said no bugs. Then when I dig deeper I find the mold that you see on the first page. They have all looked like those pics. The one I found last night had a stem from a dead leaf that had started to rot. I didn't take any pics last night but will later. This is a pic of the plant that lost it's cola last night. It was coming down within the week anyway. I left the rest of the plant to finish. Any advice would be welcome!!have you looked for bugs? I had a small case of mold once and it seemed to be bugs eating the inside of the flower thats why your bud looks light green on the inside maybe. post more pics maybe i can help.
is there little white dots on the leaves where the yellow is or black on the underside i know you said no bugs but your leaves say bugs. looks like mites sucking you dry and then mold sets in. but you have a mild case and it can be fixed if thats it. if not try getting it some air have it blowing on it like 2 fans and its in the center. how clean is your grow room?
I can't tell real good on the colors some times, being color blind and all. If you click this https://www.rollitup.org/2838756-post145.html you'll see the update from earlier this week in my journal. There are several issues to deal with in my room. I think I ended up in the moistest spot in the basement. I've done everything I can to control RH on my budget. A dehumidifier is planned for the future. Right it's in the lower 50's with lights on and door open, lower 70's with lights out and door closed.how much you watering these plants what size pot? maybe to wet down below if your finishing them let it dry out more then normal
its hard to see mold but if you want to salvage the crop you should water cure. Will remove the mold from the buds.
It wasn't on the outside yet. After the other plants got it, I've been doing routine inspections. I caught this one pretty early and was able to salvage most of the cola. I'll look into the water curing. Right now on the buds it wasn't to bad I chopped out the part that was moldy. There were very few that were totally lost.you should consider cutting it now and then water cure...the last pic i really cant see any mold.
Thanks for the advice. I've been real picky about what I've saved and what I haven't. I probably won't save anything from this time since it smells a little off. I put it in a jar yesterday, and will be keeping a close eye on it.Mold spores do not burn away under a flame. When you inhale moldy bud smoke, the spores go into your lungs. If you are a med patient with immune deficiencies, smoking moldy grass can lead to serious problems.
Thanks for the tips. I did clean the white mold at first. Then I notice it has always accompanies the grey mold. It was a yellowing leaf that I had cut off. I just didn't get all of stem. I'm being more vigilant about it now so hopefully I'll get over this. The white webing mold is nothing its from dead leafs remove it from the bud with a tooth pick (this white webing is the same as cobwebs non toxic) watch it for spreading and remove you keep doing this it wont cover the bud and form a purple mold witch may be toxic (darker molds usually toxic). Long story short take off yellow leaves before the die solve this problem some people remove all leaves like that last few weeks anyways to prevent this.
Let the plant dry out after pulling big fan leafs to. Dont pull fan leaves then water its got a open wound and moister will build up and make mold if it sits on the buds.
Thanks HK!! I have been leaving more fans on during lights out and took the filter out of the exhaust to help with air movement. The filters weren't doing much good anyway. So far so good, no more mold. I think they should all be done in the next week.Aloha How goes the fight with lady mold. looks like you need more air movement in your room and the ones hanging down need to get tied up water and moister builds up inside from both. but ya old fan leaves are a killer when i start flushing i start to clip off yellow leaves.
Good luck but more air is key also when drying out wet buds. HK
The best I can say is try some fungicides. Baking soda in your water can be helpful to. From what I've seen to much can also hurt your plants.I have mold on my rockwool cubes in my veggie room do I throw tha whole plant away it's been like that for 2 1/2 wks is it too late for tha plant or will tha mold effect it during tha budding stage
Try Zero Tollerance and it smells like the menthol stuff you whip on your chest.Yes, even though most fungicides say they are safe and the stuff sprayed can be consumed without much of a wait, it seems that all of the fungicides I have tried will fry any bud it hits. So yes, while you can kill the mold if you hit it, you also lose that entire area of bud. Any spores released will not be killed and you end up chasing mold down and slowly frying ur plant along the way.
I think it is best to apply fungicides on a tight schedule during the veg stage to help ward off or at least delay the onset of mold during the flowering stage.
