Okay, so I think I am going to make food with it because I never have done that. If I make butter with this, will the white fuzz make effect the butter?

should be fine once its made into something and baked to kill it

if u smoked brown shit weed b4 then this is nothing. just let it dryout and smoke that shit. the only thing with the moldy weed is the smell and taste. thats why i dried mine out all the way till it wuz brittle. the smell was faint,taste wuz harsh, HIGH WAS WONDERFUL.

Even if it dissolves the THC it's just going to re-solidify back on the weed. You don't drench it to the point it pours off.

Not hijacking this thread or nuthin, but this just happened to me as well. Hang dried for about 4 dys, then trimmed, and into jars where they were on a cycle of 12 hours burping, 12 hours closed. that went on for a few days until I shortened the burp time to 8 hours. I have 4-5 different strains, and the only one showing white fuzz is the NY47. Even the taste seems to have degraded. What did we do wrong to cause mold on our buds during curing?

Not dry enough. To much lite or heat. Or not enough air moving when drying and mold set in and didn't show it self till then. 70 and 60 are your friends during hanging. Dark place 70 degrees down to 60. 60% RH down to 50. In jars dark place 70 degrees and 60-55% RH. And you want to burp in low RH area. Realy the best I can say unless I was there doing it with you. But if you are having a real hard time (say it happen agin) dry in low RH for the first 2 days then bring it back up to 60% for 2 or 3 days and jar. Or start cure in a paper bag for 4-7 days then jar.

yeah that could be it. that whole jar is garbage. Almost looks like webbing. I would think spider mites if it were not for the serious degrade in value of the buds. Taste and smell are different. should you only keep a couple nugs in a jar while curing, or is ok to fill with nugs?

sounds like it was still wet, way wet, if you hanged the trimmed, it was just all soggy ass leaves,

try trimming wet and brown bag it for 1 week, open thebag one time a do da brown bag and shuffle once a day...
then roll thetp back up and put it away in a dark dry place (laundry room cabinet), it WORKS after roughly 1 week in the bag itl be ready for the jar.

the first couple days its in the jars, IT REMOISTENS ITS SELF burp often to save some of this

I personally would toss it. But it all depends on how much mold there is. If it is only a little bit then maybe water hash it. you could probably wash with h2O2, I know jorge cervantes says that will help rid green wet buds from their powdery mildew.
